Charles Nelson is 'feeling great', will play against Michigan State

Published Sep. 9, 2015 3:45 p.m. ET

Charles Nelson, Oregon's sophomore wide receiver and special teams savant, missed Oregon's opener against Eastern Washington while recovering from an undisclosed leg injury. However, it seems as though he's ready to play again.

"I am feeling great," Nelson said, according to The Oregonian. "I am playing this week."

Nelson, one of Oregon's most gifted athletes (which is saying something), caught 23 passes for 327 yards and five touchdowns as a true freshman.

While Oregon's offense rolled to 61 points against Eastern Washington without him, the Ducks will need his playmaking abilities on the field when the Ducks travel to face the No. 5 Michigan State Spartans this week.
