ARLINGTON, Texas -- Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty has been knocked out of the No. 7 Bears' game with a concussion.

Petty was hurt midway through the third quarter Saturday after taking a high hit from Texas Tech linebacker Sam Eguavoen, who was penalized for a personal foul.

Baylor officials called it a "mild concussion."

Petty remained down for several minutes before getting up and walking slowly to the sideline and then going to the locker room. He was back on the sideline before the end of the quarter, still wearing his jersey but no longer with shoulder pads or his helmet.
