William & Mary crushes Bluefield College, 100-57

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) Daniel Dixon scored 18 points on a near perfect 6-of-7 from the field and Marcus Thornton added 18 more to lead William and Mary to a 100-57 win over Bluefield College on Thursday night.

Greg Malinowski added 13 points off the bench, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, for the Tribe. Overall, William & Mary hit 12 of 20 from downtown as a team, shot 89 percent from the free throw line, and dished out 13 more assists than their Bluefield counterparts.

Defensively, the Tribe held Bluefield to just 35 percent shooting from the field and outrebounded the Ramblin' Rams by XX. Zeke Williams was the top scorer for Bluefield with 14 points. Joseph Mcclain added 12 points and six rebounds.

The Tribe never trailed in the game, opening the game on a 20-5 run through the first 10 minutes, ultimately pushing their lead to as large as 49 halfway through the second half.
