Brandon Britt scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half as William & Mary pulled away from Shenandoah 72-44 on Thursday night.

The Tribe (4-5) shot 44 percent in the first half (11 of 25), including 58.3 percent from 3-point range (7 of 12) en route to a 35-23 halftime lead.

The Division III Hornets (1-8) cut the lead to 37-28 on a jumper from Mitch Dudley with 17:41 left to play, but William & Mary countered with a 25-6 run, extending its lead to 62-34.

Dudley led Shenandoah with 11 points and Avery Green added 10.

William & Mary held a 44-32 rebounding advantage, scoring 15 second-chance points and 21 points off 13 Hornets' turnovers.

Quinn McDowell, Kyle Gaillard and Tim Rusthoven scored 11 points apiece for the Tribe, who scored 36 points off the bench and shot 46.2 percent from behind the arc (12 of 26).
