VMI routs Central Pennsylvania College 151-92

Keith Gabriel scored 27 to lead seven players with at least 16 points and Virginia Military Institute defeated Central Pennsylvania College 151-92 on Monday night.

It was the second-most points in school history. The Keydets (6-1) scored 156 points in 2006-07 and 2007-08. It was also the largest margin of victory since a 61-point win over Stevenson on Nov. 20, 2008.

Stan Okoye scored 26 points, Ron Burks 24, Drew Absher and Nick Gore had 18 each and Michael Sparks and Rodney Glasgow chipped in 16 apiece for VMI. Glasgow also had 11 assists and Gore and Okoye grabbed 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively.

The Keydets were 54 of 94 from the field (57.4 percent), including 21 of 48 from 3-point range (43.8 percent).

VMI scored 52 points off 36 turnovers by the Knights (5-4).

The Knights were led by David Squire with 18 points and Montez Lacy with 17.
