Villanova freshman guard will not play vs. Virginia due to foot injury, says Jay Wright

Villanova defeated Big 5 rival La Salle, 76-47, on Sunday evening.

Sitting next to transfer forward Eric Paschall was freshman guard Donte DiVincenzo, who was wearing a boot on his right foot.

Villanova head coach Jay Wright told reporters (via Josh Verlin of CityofBasketballLove.com) that the 6-foot-5 freshman has suffered a "serious" injury and will miss next Saturday's non-conference matchup with No. 10 Virginia.

DiVincenzo is averaging 1.9 points in 9.3 minutes per game. He's the second first-year player to go down, joining forward Tim Delaney, who has been out since early October with a hip injury.
