Shockers fall, but not before giving us dunk of the tournament

Wichita State's run at perfection ended on Sunday with a third-round loss to Kentucky in St. Louis, but the Shockers didn't exactly go down quietly.

Down two in the closing seconds, the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region had a shot at the victory, Fred VanFleet firing shot from behind the arc. But when the shot bounced off the rim, the dream was dead.

But the Shockers gave us plenty of memories. And they also gave us the dunk of the tournament moment we had been missing to that point.

With Wichita State leading late in the first half and looking to stretch its lead over the Wildcats, Cleanthony Early threw down this thunderous jam in the final minute of the half.

Sure, the Shockers won't get the crown. But they end the season 35-1 and, as Florida Gulf Coast proved last season, the pain is only temporary, the film lasts forever.
