Princeton beats Division II West Alabama 66-42
Ian Hummer scored 18 points to lead Princeton in a 66-42 win over Division II West Alabama on Sunday.
Douglas Davis added 11 points and Mack Darrow 10 for the Tigers (2-5), who hit a dozen 3-pointers (on 35 attempts, 34.2 percent) in the win at the TicketCity Legends Classic's Lewisburg subregional. Davis was 3 of 6 from long range while Will Barrett, Darrow and Hummer each hit two 3-pointers.
West Alabama connected on just 2 of 10 shots (20 percent) from long range.
Princeton scored 17 points off 16 West Alabama turnovers in the win.
The game was never in doubt for the Tigers, who jumped out to a 20-0 lead to start the contest. Princeton led 36-13 at the break and outscored West Alabama 30-29 in the second half to seal it.
Darrion Booker led West Alabama (1-6) with 13 points.
