Kent Bazemore scored a career-high 22 points as Old Dominion rallied from eight points down to beat Richmond 77-70 on Wednesday night.

Bazemore scored the first 10 points in a 12-0 run that took the Monarchs (5-1) from a 61-58 deficit to a 70-61 lead with 1:45 remaining.

Richmond (6-2) pulled within four at 74-70 with 30 seconds to go, but Old Dominion hit 3 of 6 free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

Frank Hassell scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the year for the Monarchs, who outrebounded the Spiders 41-29.

Ben Finney added 12 points for Old Dominion and Bazemore had a complete statistical line with six rebounds, five steals - including three in the last 4 minutes with the game tied at 61 - and three assists.

Kevin Anderson led the Spiders with 23 points while Cedrick Lindsay added 15, all in the second half.
