Chaisson Allen scored 21 points and had six assists to lead Northeastern to an 82-78 win over Towson on Wednesday night.

Allen reached the 20-point mark for the fifth straight game as the Huskies (9-16, 5-9 Colonial Athletic Association) won for the fifth time in six games.

Towson (4-20, 0-14) lost its 13th consecutive game.

Northeastern led by five before Towson's Rashawn Polk hit a 3-pointer to cut the margin to 78-76 with 17 seconds left.

The Huskies' Jonathan Lee hit two free throws for an 80-76 advantage, and after Towson's Isaiah Philmore hit a layup, Lee added two more free throws with 4 seconds left to seal the victory.

Ryan Pierson added 17 points, Lee had 16 and Joel Smith scored 13 to reach double figures for the 10th straight game.

Philmore led Towson with 25 points and eight rebounds, Polk added 18 points and Brian Morris had 15.
