Phillip McDonald scored 13 points to help New Mexico cruise to a 78-56 win over Northwood on Wednesday night.
McDonald made three of the Lobos' four 3-pointers and also grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Bobby Lewis scored a game-high 14 points with seven rebounds to lead the Timberwolves (1-5).
Northwood was trailing 25-19 late in the first half, but New Mexico (4-1) went on a 23-5 run that stretched into the second half, extending the lead to 48-24 with McDonald collecting eight of his points in the stretch.

Dairese Gary added 12 points six assists and five steals for the Lobos .
