J.P. Primm tied his career high with 26 points as North Carolina-Asheville came from behind to beat Western Carolina 85-79 in overtime on Tuesday night.

Primm was 9 of 12 from the field and 8 of 10 from the line for the Bulldogs (6-6), who trailed 67-63 with 2:48 left in regulation.

UNC Asheville got within one point four times before D.J. Cunningham tied it at 73 on the second of two foul shots with 19 seconds left, forcing overtime.

The Bulldogs took an 80-75 lead with 2:15 remaining, then the Catamounts cut it to 80-79 with 1:26 left.

Jaron Lane's jumper, two free throws by Primm and one by Cunningham gave UNC Asheville its 13th straight win at home.

Chris Stephenson had 18 points, Matt Dickey 17 and Cunningham 16.

Richie Gordon scored 21 points for the Catamounts (4-10), who lost their sixth straight while playing their sixth of seven road games.
