Will Campbell scored 17 points as Monmouth beat North Dakota 57-52 on Sunday in the Basketball Travelers Classic.
Jordan Davis added 12 points and Mike Myers Keitt had 11 points, all in the first 9 minutes of the game, for Monmouth (3-4). The Hawks bounced back from a loss to tournament host Idaho on Saturday and won twice in three games in the event.
North Dakota (3-5) trailed 45-29 with just under 12 minutes to play but roared back to cut Monmouth's lead to 54-52 with a minute to play. Davis hit a shot with 23 seconds left to put the Hawks back up by four and Campbell made a free throw to close the scoring.
Josh Schuler and Derek Benter scored 10 points apiece for the Fighting Sioux, who went 1-2 in the tournament.
