Langston Hall hit five 3-pointers en route to 19 points and Mercer's defense was its usual, sturdy self as the Bears topped Chattanooga 63-53 Sunday in a nonconference contest.

Mercer (6-5) entered allowing 54.2 points per game, 10th best in the nation, and limited the Mocs (2-8) to 33.3 percent (18 of 54) shooting from the field and 26.9 percent (7 of 26) on 3-pointers. The Bears also collected 10 steals.

The Mocs struggled from the floor most of the game, and none more than Ronrico White. The sophomore entered hitting over 40 percent from 3-point range for his career, but was 1 of 7 from 3-point range and 1 of 12 from the field Sunday.

Hall was 5 of 9 from 3-point range and also had four assists.
