Deonte Alexander scored 27 points to lead Lipscomb to a 99-91 overtime victory over Stetson on Saturday.

The Bisons (12-13, 7-6 Atlantic Sun Conference) also won in overtime, 104-103, when the teams played Jan. 16. In that one, Jordan Burgason led Lipscomb with 24 points.

Burgason, however, was dismissed for an undisclosed violation of team rules, the school announced Friday. The senior guard was averaging 16.4 points and led the nation in 3-point shooting with 52.6 percent.

In his place, Alexander stepped up. The junior guard, who was averaging 8.0 points, played 40 minutes and scored 10 of his points in overtime, when Lipscomb never trailed.
