Antwan Burrus buried a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Liberty over Charleston Southern 75-74 Thursday night.

In a game that featured five lead changes in the final 3 minutes, David Minaya got the ball to Burrus out of the Flames' final timeout and he knocked it down for the win. That came after the Buccaneers hit three foul shots in 28 seconds to go up 74-72 with 2 seconds left.

Minaya led Liberty (10-16, 5-9 Big South Conference) with 20 points, Jesse Sanders scored 19, Burrus 13 and John Caleb Sanders 10.

Charleston Southern lost despite outrebounding the Flames 33-28, and outscoring them in the paint (36-26), off turnovers (18-2), on the fastbreak (10-4) and from the bench (22-16).

Liberty outshot the Buccaneers, though, 56.1 percent (32 of 57) to 46.6 percent (27 of 58).

Kelvin Martin scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds for the Buccaneers (14-10, 8-6).
