Knight carving his own path out of Wall's shadow

Kentucky guard Brandon Knight is stepping out of the shadows of his talented predecessors during the Wildcats' run to the Final Four.

Knight has knocked down two game-winners during the NCAA tournament, carving out his own identity in a point guard fraternity that includes Derrick Rose and John Wall, both of whom were coached by Kentucky's John Calipari.

Calipari says Knight's fearlessness comes from his tireless work ethic. Knight considers himself a perfectionist, a trait he inherited from his parents.

Knight will face off against UConn star Kemba Walker on Saturday. Walker dominated the matchup when the teams met in November, but Knight has grown considerably over the last four months. UConn coach Jim Calhoun has called him among the best freshmen in the country.
