Jake Odum went 5 of 6 from the free-throw line in the final 32 seconds to seal Indiana State's 74-69 victory over Oral Roberts on Saturday night.

Dwayne Lathan scored 21 points and keyed a decisive second-half run for the Sycamores (2-3), who spoiled the home opener for the Golden Eagles (0-3). Odum had 10 points.

Warren Niles and Steven Roundtree paced Oral Roberts with 18 points each.

The Golden Eagles trailed 69-67 on Roundtree's two free throws with 1:07 left, but missed a chance to tie the game on their next possession, and Odum was fouled with 32 seconds left.

Odum made three free throws for a 71-67 lead. Eleven seconds later, Roundtree's tip-in made it 71-69, but Odum answered with two free throws after being immediately fouled.

Indiana State trailed 38-37 early in the second half before a Lathan jumper sparked a 13-1 run that he capped with a tip-in as the Sycamores took their biggest lead, 50-39, with 14:02 remaining.
