Jon Moore scored a game-high 18 points to lead Gardner-Webb to a 78-42 blowout victory over Virginia Intermont on Thursday night.
The Runnin' Bulldogs (3-1) led 36-28 at halftime, but took control in the second half thanks to an 18-1 run to extend their lead to 54-29. Gardner-Webb outscored the Cobras (2-5) 42-14 over the course of the half.
Wade Bryant came off the bench to lead Virginia Intermont with 11 points as the Cobras shot 3 of 19 (15.8 percent) from the floor in the second half and 12 for 50 (24 percent) for the game.
Luke Davis scored 11 points, while Stefon Johnson and Brian McNair added 10 apiece for the Runnin' Bulldogs. Johnson also grabbed 12 rebounds to earn his second career double-double.
Gardner-Webb dominated play inside as well, outscoring the Cobras in the paint 34-6.
