Amin Stevens tallied 16 points and Yannick Crowder scored eight of his 12 points in overtime to help Florida A&M pull away from Delaware State 65-55 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference quarterfinals on Thursday night.

Crowder, who was 8 of 8 from the free-throw line, and Stevens, grabbed eight rebounds apiece for the Rattlers, who won the battle of the boards 43-32.

Florida A&M (9-22) led 33-25 at intermission but Delaware State rallied to tie the game 53-53 with 24 seconds remaining behind a Marques Oliver tip-in.

The Rattlers, however, dominated overtime, scoring the first six points and holding the Hornets to just one basket during the period.

Delaware State (15-13) shot 1 of 8, committed four fouls, and had four turnovers in overtime.

Tahj Tate led the Hornets with 18 and Casey Walker had 16.

Florida A&M will face second-seeded Norfolk State in the semi-finals on Friday.
