Creighton's hot start tops Central Arkansas 104-77

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Rick Kreklow scored 18 points and Isaiah Zierden came off the bench to add 16 as Creighton rolled to a 104-77 win over Central Arkansas on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

The Blue Jays raced to a 55-34 halftime lead and were never challenged, pushing the lead to 38 midway through the second half.

Will Artino scored 14 points, James Milliken added 13, Devin Brooks 12 and Austin Chatman 10 for the Blue Jays. Artino had 10 rebounds and Brooks had five assists.

Creighton had 46 points off the bench and had a 46-22 advantage inside, thanks to a 45-28 rebounding advantage and 24-6 difference in second-chance points. The Blue Jays made 25 of 30 free throws.

Jordan Howard led the Bears with 19 points and Michael Milligan Jr. came off the bench to add 18. Mike Martin and reserve Mathieu Kamba split 22 points.
