D.J. Irving scored 14 points and John Holland added 10 to lead Boston University over Binghamton 53-51 on Thursday night.

The Terriers (17-13, 11-4 America East Conference) scored seven straight points to lead 44-32 with 12:22 to play. But a 20-7 run, capped by a jumper from Greer Wright, pulled the Bearcats (7-21, 4-11) to 52-51 with 36 seconds to go.

Wright, who finished with 18 points, missed a layup and Moussa Camara's 3-point attempt failed on Binghamton's last possession, sealing the win for Boston.

Camara added 13 points and Mahamoud Jabbi grabbed 11 rebounds for the Bearcats, who have lost 11 of their last 12 contests. Binghamton shot 36.5 percent from the floor (19 of 52), including 25 percent from 3-point range (6 of 24).

The Terriers went 3 for 14 from the floor (21.4 percent) and 7 for 12 from the free-throw line (58.3 percent) in the final 16 minutes.
