Adrien Coleman hit 13 of 14 from the floor and finished with team-highs of 29 points and eight rebounds as Bethune-Cookman topped Stetson 86-63 Monday night in a nonconference contest.
Coleman was 7 for 8 from the field in the first half as the Wildcats (3-6) jumped to a 46-23 advantage. Bethune-Cookman shot 69 percent (20 of 19) from the field in the first half, connecting on twice as many baskets as the Hatters, who shot 52.6 percent (10 of 19).
The Wildcats' Alex Smith scored the game's first five points and Bethune-Cookman led 16-3 less than 6 minutes in.
Adam Pegg led Stetson (2-4) with 17 points.
Javon Braynt added 17 points, Paul Scotland 15 and Kevin Dukes 13 for the Wildcats, with Dukes hitting 4 of 7 from 3-point range. Bethune-Cookman was 7 of 14 from 3-point range as a team.
