Nicolas Cozza - Reliable left-back while in loan Cozza made 27 Ligue?1 appearances for Nantes during the 2024-25 season, scoring one goal and helping secure three clean sheets.
Impact Cozza displayed solid defensive work, finishing the 2024-25 season with 59 tackles, 25 interceptions, and 61 clearances across 2,050 minutes, showing consistency in the backline. His willingness to step into midfield and block shots highlights his game-reading intelligence. Discipline was largely maintained, though he picked up a red card and three yellow cards during the campaign. Cozza will now return to his parent club Wolfsburg after two loan spells with Nantes, and his future remains somewhat uncertain as another loan could be possible.
5 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Bence Dardai - Takes starting role Dardai scored and assisted once during 21 appearances (16 starts) in his first season in Wolfsburg.
Impact Dardai joined Wolfsburg and was expected to be a depth option, but surprisingly played his way into a significant starting role sooner rather than later. The midfielder was still rotated frequently, and a healthy Lovro Majer could limit his minutes further. If nothing else, he proved himself to be a valuable depth choice moving forward.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Tiago Tomas - Career year offensively Tomas scored six times and assisted once in 32 appearances (23 starts) in the Bundesliga.
Impact Tomas put together a career-year offensively, managing seven goal contributions and a career-best six goals. It was an interesting season for the midfielder, who really fell out of the squad in the second half. In the first half of the season he showed why he's been so highly touted despite limited production, making the most of limited chances with some lethal efficiency. If he can find a consistent finishing touch Tomas has some major upside, but that's been the story for Tomas for the last three seasons.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Patrick Wimmer - Struggles with inconsistency Wimmer scored three times and added four assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances.
Impact Wimmer was hampered heavily by injuries last season and the hope was that with a fully fit season he'd be back to his best. He was certainly better but it would be impossible to call it his best as he struggled for his same efficiency. Wimmer still did enough to impress around the league though, as multiple clubs have expressed interest in a summer move, most notably Bayer Leverkusen.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Konstantinos Koulierakis - Excellent debut Koulierakis made 30 appearances (28 starts) during his debut season with Wolfsburg.
Impact Koulierakis's first season with Wolfsburg and first in the Bundesliga was a rousing success. The defender was excellent throughout and even produced a pair of assists. Koulierakis was the top choice center-back in a back three and a back-four and will remain a key part of the starting XI next season.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Jakub Kaminski - Pair of assists Kaminski earned a pair of assists in the Bundesliga, playing 1,123 minutes.
Impact Kaminski hasn't pushed for a starting role since his first season in Wolfsburg, though he did see an uptick in playing time this season. He managed a pair of assists in 22 appearances (12 starts.) Kaminski provides depth in the attack and in both wing-back roles making him a valuable member of the squad but not one that's likely to see many minutes moving forward.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Yannick Gerhardt - Sold role yet again Gerhardt made 29 appearances (15 starts) with a single goal and assist in the Bundesliga.
Impact Gerhardt has had two very similar seasons in a row, with two or three goal contributions and around 1,500 minutes played. That seems to be about the ceiling for the midfielder, who hasn't quite earned a consistent starting role but is a valuable part of the squad as depth and rotation.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Mattias Svanberg - Finishes season injured Svanberg was sidelined by an injury to end the season, but scored three times and assisted once prior to that.
Impact Svanberg had a disappointing end to the season as a knee injury cost him the final month. He was great before that, taking on a solid role in the midfield when fit and matching his goal contributions from last season. The concern for Svanberg has been fitness though, as he hasn't played more than 2,000 minutes in a season since joining Wolfsburg.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Andreas Skov Olsen - Disappointing in limited role Skov Olsen made just four starts, scoring and assisting once in the Bundesliga.
Impact Skov Olsen was brought in to compete for a starting role in the Wolfsburg attack and instead he struggled to accomplish much of anything. The attacker managed just a pair of goal contributions while playing 532 minutes. Still he is clearly talented and the hope will be he earns more minutes next season.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Lovro Majer - Limited to three starts Majer scored twice and assisted once in nine appearances (three starts) in the Bundesliga.
Impact Majer was hampered by injuries throughout his second campaign with Wolfsburg. He was excellent during the limited minutes he got on the pitch. The focus for Majer will be to get fit and get back on the pitch next season as a consistent starting option.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Mads Roerslev - Set for return to England Roerslev is expected to return to Brentford at the end of his loan to Wolfsburg, WAZ reports.
Impact Roerslev was decent on loan to Wolfsburg, assisting twice in 19 appearances (11 starts.) The price tag for his buy option was a bit too steep for that production though, and Wolfsburg are willing to look elsewhere for a future right-back.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Sebastiaan Bornauw - Limited minutes Bornauw scored twice and assisted once in 15 appearances (eight starts) in the Bundesliga.
Impact Bornauw played a limited bench role, largely due to a bevy of injuries throughout the campaign. The defender wasn't a major starter even when fully fit though, playing off the bench for the most part. Bornauw has a year left on his deal and seems to be set for a depth role next season.
MAY 21 • ROTOWIRE
Maximilian Arnold - Sends in eight crosses at Mgladbach Arnold recorded one shot (one on goal), eight crosses (one accurate) and eight corners in Saturday's 1-0 win versus Monchengladbach.
Impact Arnold led Wolfsburg in crosses during the road win as usual and finished 2024-25 with 151 over 28 appearances (27 starts). He also took eight of their 10 corner kicks in the match and 84 in total in the campaign. The midfielder scored three goals and assisted five times over that span.
MAY 19 • ROTOWIRE
Joakim Maehle - Makes eight clearances in win Maehle generated two shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 1-0 win versus Monchengladbach.
Impact Maehle had a good defensive outing and led Wolfsburg with a season-high eight clearances. The left-back finished the campaign with 49 clearances and 34 tackles in 28 appearances (25 starts). He also logged three goals and four assists to his name.
MAY 19 • ROTOWIRE
Lukas Nmecha - Scores winner on the road Nmecha scored one goal to go with two shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 win versus Monchengladbach.
Impact Nmecha scored the game-winner in the 50th minute with his third goal in the campaign. The forward logged his third start in 19 overall appearances during the season finale. He will now look for more playing time in 2025-26.
MAY 19 • ROTOWIRE
Kamil Grabara - Keeps clean sheet in win Grabara made four saves and allowed zero goals in Saturday's 1-0 victory versus Monchengladbach.
Impact Grabara logged his fifth clean sheet in the season to help Wolfsburg win on the road. The goalkeeper finished 2024-25 with 92 saves in 29 starts. He allowed 49 goals over that span.
MAY 19 • ROTOWIRE
Denis Vavro - Signs contract extension Vavro has signed a new contract with Wolfsburg until the end of the 2026/27 season, the club announced Monday.
Impact Wolfsburg have turned the center-back's loan move from FC Copenhagen into a permanent deal after an impressive 2024/25 campaign that saw him make 31 appearances and score three goals across all competitions. The 29-year-old Slovakia international should remain a key player at the back for Wolfsburg for the next two campaigns.
MAY 19 • ROTOWIRE
Sebastiaan Bornauw - On bench Saturday Bornauw (foot) is on the bench for Saturday's game against Monchengladbach.
Impact As expected, Bornauw is back in the squad for the season finale. He could see minutes down the stretch, but he shouldn't carry a lot of fantasy appeal in any format.
MAY 17 • ROTOWIRE
Marius Muller - Makes bench Saturday Muller (concussion) is on the bench for Saturday's game against Monchengladbach.
Impact Muller recovered in time for the season finale. However, as a backup goalkeeper, his upside will be almost minimal.
MAY 17 • ROTOWIRE
Kilian Fischer - Not playing Saturday Fischer (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's game against Monchengladbach.
Impact The chances of Fischer playing in this season finale were "tight," according to manager Daniel Bauer during his pre-match press conference Thursday, so it's not surprising to see him sidelined. Fischer ends the season having started in 29 of his 32 league appearances, racking up one goal, 90 clearances, 64 tackles, 39 crosses and 19 interceptions.
MAY 17 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Wind - Out for season finale Wind (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's game against Monchengladbach.
Impact Wind was listed as a potential absence for this match in manager Daniel Bauer's pre-match press conference, so this outcome isn't entirely surprising. The Denmark striker finishes the season with nine goals and three assists in 31 league appearances (21 starts).
MAY 17 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Wind - Could miss finale Wind is questionable for Saturday's match against Gladbach, accoridng to manager Daniel Bauer. "Jonas trained with the team yesterday, individually today. In the final training tom...
Impact Wind is going to have to be tested out ahead of Saturday's contest, as the forward is dealing with an injury that required him to train individually Thursday. This could be a brutal absence for the club, as he is a starter when fit. That said, if he can't make it through training, this will force a change, with Tiago Tomas and Andreas Skov Olsen as possible replacements if he misses out.
MAY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Kilian Fischer - Late call for Saturday Fischer (undisclosed) is a late call for Saturday's match against Galdbach, accoridng to manager Daniel Bauer. "We are relieved Kilian has no structural injury, but it will be tigh...
Impact Fischer was brought off injured last contest but appears to now only be dealing with minor issues, as he will be a late call for their season finale. This will be something to watch for the club, as he is a regular starter when fit. That said, his absence would force a change, with David Odogu or Mads Roerslev as possible replacements.
MAY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Maximilian Arnold - Clears suspension Arnold is no longer suspended and is an option moving forward for the club.
Impact Arnold has cleared his ban due to the straight red card he received against Freiburg, with the midfielder set to return in the final game of the season against Gladbach. He has been an undisputed starter for Wolfsburg and is expected to find back his starting role now that he is available.
MAY 12 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Wind - Breaks lengthy goal drought Wind scored a goal while taking two shots (one on goal) and creating a chance during Friday's 2-2 draw with Hoffenheim.
Impact Wind found the back of the net in the 81st minute scoring Wolfsburg's second goal. The goal was the first since January for Wind who has combined for five shots and two chances created in his last three appearances.
