Impact Takaoka faced just three shots and stopped two of them during Wednesday's win. The goalkeeper has been the top option as expected and he's been solid, though similar to 2023 he's slowed down after a red-hot start. Takaoka has also thrived with the improved starting XI ahead of him providing some defensive rigidity.

Ryan Raposo - Eight crosses Wednesday Raposo recorded one shot (zero on goal), eight crosses (five accurate) and three corners in Wednesday's 2-1 win against Sporting Kansas City.

Impact Raposo was back in the starting XI after being rested against Miami, and he immediately piled on some significant volume. The winger is off to an excellent start with two goals and three assists in just 15 appearances, already a career-high. Raposo hasn't had a goal contribution in May though despite creating 10 chances.

Impact Berhalter got the start for just the second time in MLS, and created a chance. The central midfielder has made consistent appearances in MLS, but he's only been called upon in the starting XI twice. Outside of mid-week matches that encourage rotation it's more likely than not Berhalter will remain a depth option for the foreseeable future.

Impact Brown was active throughout Wednesday's clash, getting forward at any chance and trying his hand from deep. None of his shots were on target, but his willingness to shoot is certainly a good sign for more offensive contributions. That said Brown hasn't surpassed a single goal across any season in MLS.

Impact Gauld scored a brace during Wednesday's narrow win. The attacker was finally back in form and he was lethal in front of net. Vancouver have cooled off considerably after a scorching start to the season, but with Gauld finding form once more they should have fewer goalscoring woes in the coming weeks.
