GAME LOG

Takes three shots in loss Kubo took three shots and logged four inaccurate crosses in 90 minutes of Tuesday's 1-0 loss to Spain.
Impact This was by far Kubo's least productive performance in an impressive tournament, as he scored in all three group stage games during a strong display. His tournament isn't over just yet as he still gets the third place game against Mexico.
AUGUST 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Ends score streak in dramatic win Kubo took four shots (three on target), created three chances and sent six crosses (one accurate) in the 1-0 shootout win against New Zealand on Saturday.
Impact Kubo has been a revelation for this Japan side and he has scored in three of his four appearances in the tournament. Although, he did not continue that goal-streak here, he still managed to be the most efficient player for Japan. Kubo is quickly making a statement for Player of the Tournament and it would be a surprise if Real Madrid were to not keep him this season when he returns from the Olympics.
AUGUST 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Scores in third straight match Kubo scored on his lone shot and added two chances created and three crosses (none accurate) in 45 minutes of play in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Japan.
Impact Kubo bagged his third goal at the Olympics and was having another impressive display here but with Japan securing spot in the elimination stages the playmaker was given some rest in the second half. He'll surely be back in the lineup for the quarterfinals and will hold a huge fantasy upside.
JULY 29, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Scores in win over Mexico Kubo took five shots (two on target), made three interceptions, sent in two crosses, created one scoring chance and scored a goal in Sunday's 2-1 win over Mexico.
Impact Kubo doubled his goal count in the Olympic tournament with a one-touch finish from inside the box in the sixth minute against Mexico. The skilled attacker has been solid in two full matches played, joining a group of eight players with multiple goals in the competition. He'll have a chance to extend his streak Wednesday against a France side that conceded more goals than any other team in the first two games.

Nets in opener Kubo scored once on four shots (one on goal) during Wednesday's 1-0 win over South Africa.
Impact Kubo scored the only goal in the match to open the Olympics with a win. The forward looked to be the class of the team, and was the conduit through which everything ran. If Japan are to make a deep run they will push their offense through Kubo.
JULY 22, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Takes one shot in draw Kubo put one shot off target and created one chance during Sunday's scoreless draw with Granada.
Impact Kubo ends his time with Getafe on a high note after helping them avoid relegation and starting on a quiet final day. With one goal and one assist from 18 appearances for Getafe and no goals or assists in 13 for Villarreal, it hasn't been a great season for the immensely talented Kubo. He'll now return to Real Madrid and plan his next move, which will likely be away from Los Blancos.
MAY 24, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Keeps club afloat in massive win Kubo scored once, took one shot (one on target), sent one cross (none accurate) and received one yellow card during the 2-1 win against Levante on Sunday.
Impact Kubo came off the bench once again and he was handed limited minutes as well. However, it took him around 10 minutes to make a huge impact and one that will keep Getafe in the La Liga for another season. Kubo took on a defender and used his space to create just enough room to strike a beautiful shot for his first goal in domestic play with Getafe. After a rather decent first professional season, Kubo fell off massively this year. Nevertheless, he is still someone to keep an eye on moving into next season.
