Germany's Ozil sure of being fit in time for World Cup

LONDON (AP) Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil says he will recover in time from a back injury to be available for Germany for the World Cup.

Ozil was left out of Arsenal's squad last weekend in the English Premier League, and is set to miss the rest of the season because of the injury.

But the Germany international says on Twitter, ''It'll need some time but I'm sure I'll fully recover in time for the World Cup,'' next month in Russia.

Germany kicks off its title defense near its tournament base in Moscow on June 17.
