Federico Fazio - Sidelined a while longer Fazio (calf) "could be back in a couple of weeks," coach Simone Inzaghi informed.
Impact Fazio is trying to shake off an edema in his calf and will skip his fourth game in a row on Friday. He'll be a late call for the following one. Jerome Boateng, Niccolo Pierozzi, and Marco Pellegrino will be the top options against Empoli.
FEBRUARY 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Alessandro Zanoli - Wins three tackles in Torino match Zanoli won three of four tackles and six duels and one clearance in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Torino.
Impact Zanoli didn't do anything offensively, which is generally his forte, but he had a very diligent display in the back and helped his team come away with a very rare clean sheet. This was his first start since completing the switch. He has appeared three times and posted five crosses (zero accurate), six tackles, and one clearance.
FEBRUARY 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Jerome Boateng - Logs eight clearances against Torino Boateng won two duels and recorded eight clearances and two blocks in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Torino.
Impact Boateng looked good for somebody who hadn't played in seven months, although he wasn't credited with the clean sheet before he left after an hour due to fatigue. He'll be a staple in the back if he stays healthy, especially with Norbert Gyomber (groin) set to miss extended time.
FEBRUARY 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Niccolo Pierozzi - Excellent in Torino contest Pierozzi generated two tackles (two won), two successful duels, seven clearances, and three interceptions in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Torino.
Impact Pierozzi was often challenged by the opponents but never let anybody past him and racked up stats in the process. He has more than held his own since joining Salernitana, especially while playing as a center-back, likely securing a regular spot going forward. He has tallied four tackles, six interceptions, and 10 clerances in four games, contributing to one clean sheet.
FEBRUARY 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Antonio Candreva - Swings in four crosses versus Torino Candreva drew one foul and generated one shot (zero on goal), four crosses (zero accurate), and one corner in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Torino.
Impact Candreva still led his team in deliveries but wasn't as productive as in other instances in a very tight game. His form has dipped as he has scored just once in the last six contests, adding 10 shots (three on target), 13 chances created, and 52 crosses (14 accurate). Salernitana will host Empoli on Friday.
FEBRUARY 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Boulaye Dia - Fires one shot in Torino tilt Dia (thigh) drew one foul, won one duel, and had one shot (one on goal) in 28 minutes in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Torino.
Impact Dia didn't put number numbers in his return from injury as his side bunkered up for most of the contest and barely created any chance. His minutes should gradually increase. He could replace Loum Tchaouna or a defender if he was ready to start Friday versus Empoli, as they can use a more offensive scheme.
FEBRUARY 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Guillermo Ochoa - Keeps clean sheet against Torino Ochoa recorded one save, one clearance, and one punch and didn't concede Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Torino.
Impact Ochoa didn't allow a goal for the first time in the season as his new-look defense worked out right away and Torino had an off-day offensively. He has given up six goals and made nine saves in the last four matches. Salernitana will host Empoli on Friday.
FEBRUARY 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Boulaye Dia - Bench option versus Torino Dia (thigh) will commence as a sub in Sunday's clash with Torino.
Impact Dia returns to the squad list after an extended absence and will be eased into action despite the lack of options for his side with Simy (illness) sidelined. Loum Tchaouna is playing false-nine for the first time in the campaign and will be supported by Antonio Candreva and Grigoris Kastanos.
FEBRUARY 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Simy - Will sit Torino tilt Simy hasn't been selected for Sunday's clash with Torino due to the flu, Tuttomercatoweb informed.
Impact Simy came down with an illness late in the week and will stay home. Boulaye Dia (thigh) is returning from injury and might make the XI. The alternative is Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi.
FEBRUARY 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Norbert Gyomber - Undergoes groin surgery Gyomber went under the knife to address a hernia, Il Mattino reported.
Impact Gyomber had been playing through the problem, but that was no longer possible and he'll be sidelined for the foreseeable future. The team signed Jerome Boateng, Triantafyllos Pasalidis, and Marco Pellegrino late in the window to address their defense absences. Lorenzo Pirola (thigh) and Federico Fazio (calf) are on the mend too, but they'll return a lot sooner than Gyomber.
FEBRUARY 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Boulaye Dia - Expected back for Torino match Dia (thigh) has trained fully for the entire week and will return Sunday versus Torino, Il Mattino reported.
Impact Dia is set to be an option after missing five games and AFCON due to a thigh injury. Considering his importance to the team and their offensive woes, there's a chance he'll make the XI right away despite the pretty significant injury. He was scoreless in his past four appearances, where he tallied nine shots (one on target), three key passes, and one inaccurate cross.
FEBRUARY 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Jerome Boateng - Signs with Salernitana Boateng has agreed to a contract with Salernitana until the end of the season, the team announced.
Impact Boateng has found a home after seven months without a club and could be thrown in right away as Salernitana have some issues in the back and parted ways with a couple of regulars. Despite his imperfect conditions, he'll be at the top of the pecking order right away given his caliber and past. He tallied 16 clearances, six interceptions, and three tackles in eight matches with Lyon last season.
FEBRUARY 2, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Shon Weissman - Loaned to Salernitana Weissman completed a loan move to Salernitana from Granada for the remainder of the season, the club announced.
Impact Weissman will spend the second half of the season in Italy with Salernitana in search of more consistent minutes. The forward has played just 167 minutes in six games since joining Granada in January, including just 78 minutes in the 2023/24 season.
FEBRUARY 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Iron Gomis - Joins Salernitana Gomis has moved to Salernitana on loan from Kasimpasa, the League site confirmed.
Impact Gomis was having a productive campaign in Turkey, tallying two goals and five assists in 24 appearances after leaving his first country for the first time. He'll be an option in multiple roles, given his versatility.
FEBRUARY 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Emanuel Vignato - Returns to Serie A Vignato has moved to Salernitana on a season-long loan with an option to make the transfer permanent from Pisa, the team announced.
Impact Vignato made 12 scoreless appearances in Serie B and didn't put up great numbers in his previous spells at Empoli and especially Bologna, although he wasn't a regular. He has one goal and two assists in the last two campaigns. He logged four chances created, four crosses (one accurate), and six tackles in 13 matches in the past one.
FEBRUARY 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

JANUARY 31, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Loum Tchaouna - Dangerous in attack Tchaouna assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal), six crosses (three accurate) and one corner in Monday's 2-1 defeat against Roma.
Impact Tchaouna assisted Grigoris Kastanos' consolation goal as he recorded a season-high three accurate crosses in this one. He has made seven consecutive starts after only starting two of the previous ten and he is clearly a prominent member of the starting XI as it stands.
JANUARY 31, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Grigoris Kastanos - Scores off the bench Kastanos scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Monday's 2-1 loss versus Roma.
Impact Kastanos entered the fray with his side down by two goals which afforded him extra freedom to get forward. He duly responded with a goal and one chance created in an efficient cameo as he looks to reclaim a starting role. He had started eight of the first nine games but has only started four of nine since then.
JANUARY 31, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Guillermo Ochoa - Rough outing versus Roma Ochoa had no saves and allowed two goals in Monday's 2-1 defeat against Roma.
Impact Ochoa remains in search of his first clean sheet this season and has conceded multiple goals in each of his last five appearances. This was his second outing allowing multiple goals without making a save and his side has the worst defense in the league with 44 goals conceded across 22 contests.
JANUARY 31, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Domagoj Bradaric - Swings in three crosses against Roma Bradaric (undisclosed) took one shot on target), created two scoring chances, sent in four crosses (three accurate), and won two of three tackles in Monday's 1-2 loss to Roma.
Impact Bradaric didn't need to miss time and provided his usual energetic performance on both ends, although it wasn't enough for his team to come away with points. He has tallied two assists, six key passes, 12 crosses (six accurate), and five tackles (three won) in the last five rounds.
JANUARY 30, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Domagoj Bradaric - Starting Monday Bradaric (undisclosed) is in the starting XI for Monday's match against Roma.
Impact Bradaric will avoid missing any time with the injury he picked up this past week, having returned to the starting XI for Monday's match. The club will be happy to have the midfielder back in their team and not on the sidelines, as he has appeared in every contest this season, starting 17 times to go along with three assists in 17 chances created.
JANUARY 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Federico Fazio - Will miss Roma tilt Fazio won't return versus Roma, coach Filippo Inzaghi informed.
Impact Fazio will miss his second straight game due to an unspecified injury. Flavius Daniliuc and Norbert Gyomber are the frontrunners to play in the middle of the defense.
JANUARY 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Domagoj Bradaric - Fit for Roma clash Bradaric (undisclosed) is expected to start Monday versus Roma, Sky Italy reported.
Impact Bradaric escaped without an injury despite subbing off a little early last week and should man the left flank as usual. He has dished two assists and added five key passes, 10 crosses (three accurate), and seven interceptions in the last five rounds.
JANUARY 28, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Grigoris Kastanos - Wins one tackle versus Genoa Kastanos (knee) had one interception, one tackle (one won), and 22 passes in 22 minutes in Sunday's 1-2 loss to Genoa.
Impact Kastanos got some minutes as his team was trailing in the second half despite being less than 100 percent. Considering his previous displays, he'll likely return to the XI against Roma on the road on Monday. He has assisted twice and posted four shots (two on target), nine key passes, and eight crosses (four accurate) in his last five appearances.
JANUARY 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Antonio Candreva - Productive in Sunday's loss Candreva registered four shots (zero on goal), 13 crosses (two accurate) and five corners in Sunday's 2-1 loss versus Genoa.

He also added four shots (all off target), two chances created and five corners in his full 90 minutes of action. While he did not find the back of the net Sunday, he has been in great form as of late with three goals in three assists in his last nine matches.
