Genoa midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi will undergo surgery on Sunday after a horrific-looking lower-leg fracture during a Serie A match at Venezia

Ruslan Malinovskyi - Diagnosed with massive injury Malinovskyi will undergo surgery due to an ankle dislocation and a fibula fracture, Genoa announced.

Impact Malinovskyi was taken directly to the hospital due to the severity of the injury and is set for a multi-month spell on the sidelines. He's been filling in for Junior Messias (thigh) lately, who shouldn't be too far away from coming back. The same goes for Fabio Miretti (thigh). Morten Thorsby will hold down the fort while his teammates are ready.

Caleb Ekuban - Picks up thigh injury Ekuban was forced off in the second half of Saturday's match against Venezia with a thigh injury.

Impact Ekuban left in the 79th minute following a sprint which left him hobbled. Jeff Ekhator replaced Ekuban for the remainder of the match with Ekuban's status for next week's match against Juventus in doubt.

Impact Malinovskyi left the match in the 49th minute, succumbing to injury and being replaced by Andrea Pinamonti. Malinovskyi was stretchered off the pitch and could be set for a lengthy absence.
