Out for RSL match Palencia (illness) is out for Saturday's match against Real Salt Lake.

Impact Palencia was unable to recover from his illness in time for Saturday's match, having been left on the sidelines to face Real Salt Lake. This is a tough break for the club but shouldn't affect much, as in the first match of the season, he only appeared as a substitute for seven minutes. He will now look ahead to next week's match against Sporting Kansas City for a return, as he should be able to shake off the illness by then.

Impact Palencia recorded three assists in 25 Ligue 1 appearances (22 starts) at right-back for Bordeaux in 2018/19, but he's mostly played in the second tiers of Spain and France with Leganes and St. Etienne, respectively, ever since. The 26-year-old former Barcelona academy player is now moving to MLS with reigning champions LAFC, where he can replace the departed Franco Escobar as cover for Ryan Hollingshead and Diego Palacios in the full-back positions.
