Lets in late goal Sanchez had three saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Impact Sanchez could not keep the clean sheet Sunday with a late goal for the draw against the Red Devils. He's allowed seven goals in the last five matches, making 19 saves in that span. Distribution difficulty in win Sanchez recorded one save and allowed one goal in Sunday's 2-1 win over Newcastle United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 84th minute.
Impact Sanchez conceded once and made a single save Sunday as Chelsea squeezed past Newcastle for a tight 2-1 victory. Though Chelsea were able to hang on for the victory, Sanchez completed just 50% of his passes and six of his 25 long balls attempted. Manager Enzo Maresca took responsibility for the keeper's performance post-match, stating, "If Robert makes a mistake, it's not Robert's problem, it's my mistake because I asked that from Robert. I am very happy with Robert and the way he is playing, building from the back." If Sanchez remains the first choice for Chelsea between the sticks, his next league matchup will come Sunday as Chelsea travel to take on Manchester United who recently relieved manager Erik ten Hag of his duties.
OCTOBER 28, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Three saves, two goals conceded Sanchez logged three saves but conceded two goals during Chelsea's 2-1 loss Sunday at Liverpool.
Impact Normally, three saves is an adequate output from a goalkeeper. However, Sanchez's three marks his lowest in the category since Sept. 1. On top of that, he and Chelsea's defenders did not take enough preventative measures to stop Liverpool's team from logging its two goals. Levi Colwill conceded a penalty-kick opportunity, which Mohamed Salah successfully converted. Miscommunication between Sanchez and Chelsea's defensive line allowed the aforementioned Jones open space for another goal. The goalkeeper will look to improve next week in another Sunday matchup, this time scheduled for Stamford Bridge against Newcastle United.
OCTOBER 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Records eight saves Sanchez conceded one goal but logged eight saves during Chelsea's 1-1 draw Sunday against Nottingham Forest.
Impact With a stellar performance Sunday, eight is now Sanchez's season high in saves. He has logged seven or eight of them across all but one of his last four appearances. The four-game span not only has Chelsea's primary goalkeeper averaging 6.5 saves but also included him conceding less than a goal per game for two clean sheets and an 89.7 save percentage. Sanchez needed all the positive form he could get, with an international break coming up and league leaders Liverpool to compete against after it.
OCTOBER 6, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Two goals conceded, four saves Sanchez conceded two goals but logged four saves during Chelsea's 4-2 win Saturday against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Impact Unlike his previous appearances, Sanchez conceded multiple goals and logged fewer than five saves. On the plus side, Saturday included one of his better games across the 2024-25 Premier League. Sanchez recorded an excellent September, which included an 87.0 save percentage and two clean sheets across four games Chelsea played.
SEPTEMBER 28, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Excellent again Sanchez registered seven saves and allowed zero goals in Saturday's 3-0 win against West Ham United.
Impact Sanchez had another superb performance in net Saturday, making seven saves to hold on to a second clean sheet in a row. He's allowed just five goals in five PL appearances, not conceding more than two a game while making 21 saves with two clean sheets. The keeper will face off with Brighton for the next league match on Saturday, who have scored 10 goals in the last five contests.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Penalty save and clean sheet Sanchez registered seven saves and secured a clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 37th minute.
Impact Sanchez made an outstanding contribution to his team Saturday. He caused a penalty through fouling a goal bound Evanilson, and then saved the ensuing spot kick. This was complemented by six other assertive saves to help the Blues leave the game with all three points. The regular starter has not been particularly impressive this season, he has conceded five from Chelsea's first four matches but this was by far his best performance. He will need to be on his toes for their next against West Ham, the Hammers have scored in all their cup and league games this season.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

AUGUST 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Allows two against City Sanchez registered three saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-0 defeat against Manchester City.
Impact Sanchez didn't have his best outing Sunday, as he would allow two past him in the loss while making three saves. This is not the start the goalie was looking for, although he was sitting behind a defensive line starting together for the first time in the Premier League. He will look to get back on track next match, with him being in search of his first clean sheet of the campaign.
AUGUST 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

APRIL 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Back in training Sanchez (knee) is back in training and should return soon, according to manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Impact While Sanchez looks to be an option again, Djordje Petrovic is believed to be Chelsea's No. 1 goalkeeper at this point. Sanchez had an okay season before suffering this knee injury in early December, but there may not be a good reason for him to return to the XI in place of Petrovic, something that Pochettino will have to decide shortly.
APRIL 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Set to start rehab program Sanchez will start rehabilitation again on his knee, keeping him out again for Chelsea.
Impact Sanchez is still struggling to return to fitness with his knee injury that has kept him out since December. This is unfortunate for the keeper, who signed from Brighton in the summer to be the number one keeper for Chelsea, making 16 EPL appearances while allowing 25 goals on 53 saves before his injury.
MARCH 28, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to starting XI Sanchez got the start during Wednesday's 3-2 win over Leeds in the FA Cup.
Impact Sanchez has been fit for multiple weeks now, but has evidently fallen out of favor as the top choice goalkeeper. Sanchez did little to change that against Leeds either, conceding twice to the Championship side. Djordie Petrovic will likely be the starter for the closing stages of the Premier League.

Impact Sanchez is back, but he may not be back in the starting XI. Djordje Petrovic has been excellent in replacement of Sanchez and has likely done enough to earn the starting role moving forward. Sanchez opened the season with the top job but kept just three clean sheets in 16 matches, conceding 25 goals in that span.
FEBRUARY 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Remains out Sanchez (knee) is out for Monday's match against Crystal Palace.
Impact Sanchez will remain sidelined against Crystal Palace, missing his eighth straight match due to a knee injury. The goalie will now look ahead to trying to return next week, where he will most likely get the start if fit, taking back his role in the starting XI from Djordje Petrovic.
FEBRUARY 12, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Starts training individually Sanchez (knee) was viewed training individually on grass ahead of Wednesday's contest against Liverpool.
Impact Sanchez seems to be getting closer to a return but may still be a couple of weeks away from that date, as he was featured training individually Monday. The goalie should not be expected to return as soon as Wednesday against Liverpool, as with the recent updates in his rehabilitation, he will still be out until at least the weekend. We will hope to possibly return on Sunday against Wolves or versus Crystal Palace on Feb. 12, where he would most likely get the start immediately once healthy.

Impact Sanchez suffered the knee injury and was forced off last time out, bringing Djordie Petrovic into the first team. Impact Sanchez may be dealing with some time on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury in their midweek match against United. It is still unsure when the player may return, as the seriousness of the knock has yet to be announced, but based on Pochettino's quotes, the player may be available by the weekend for their match against Sheffield. If he is not available, expect Djordje Petrovic to get the start in net after debuting Sunday.
