Stefan Posch - Decent versus Spain despite big loss Posch had one shot (zero on target), two interceptions and three clearances and won two of three tackles in Thursday's 3-0 loss to Spain.
Impact Posch was the only Austrian defender not to completely flounder, even if his team conceded three goals, and put together a respectable stat line. He has notched at least one clearance in all four World Cup matches, totaling 11 and adding four tackles (two won), nine clearances and three shots (zero on target). He's heading back to Como following a loan spell at Mainz during which he had a regular role and contributed on both ends.

Martin Baturina - Sends in three crosses vs Portugal Baturina had one shot (zero on goal), three crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Thursday's 2-1 defeat to Portugal.
Impact Baturina logged the third-most crosses for Croatia in the elimination game, as they lost in the end with a goal during stoppage time. The midfielder also took one of their five corner kicks. That was his fourth start in the World Cup, and he finished it with one goal in three shots, four chances created and eight crosses.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Luis Milla - Transferred to Como Milla has joined Como from Getafe, bringing an end to a three-year spell at the Madrid club, the club announced.
Impact Milla made 134 official appearances across La Liga and the Copa del Rey since joining from Granada in 2022, contributing three goals and 20 assists while establishing himself as one of the most important and popular figures in the dressing room. Getafe expressed their sincere gratitude for his professionalism, commitment and dedication throughout his time at the club, with Milla heading to Serie A for the next chapter of his career.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Yannick Engelhardt - Back at Como Engelhardt has returned to Como after his loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Impact Engelhardt has been a cornerstone for the entire campaign, recording two goals, two assists, 14 chances created and 43 tackels in 31 appearances (29 starts), but he wasn't retained before June 30. He's more likely to transfer again than to stay at Como, which, however, might need some depth in the midfield.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Alieu Fadera - Reporting back to Como Fadera is departing Sassuolo at the conclusion of his temporary sujourn from Como.
Impact Fadera was a key rotational piece in 2025/2027, tallying two goals, one assist, 13 shots (four on target) and 24 crosses (six accurate) in 28 displays (eight starts). His future will hinge on Como's moves and depth on the wings.
JULY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Alberto Dossena - Returns to Como Dossena is heading back to Como following a loan at Cagliari.
Impact Dossena helped Cagliari with his experience, notching 16 tackles, nine interceptions and 42 blocks in 12 outings (nine starts), with two clean sheets, but wasn't acquired, at least for now. He could stay as deputy, as Como are facing some uncertainty at the position.

Como confirm Nico Paz stay as Real Madrid retain buy-back option for Argentine star
Nico Paz - Staying at Como Paz will stay at Como for the 2026/27 season on loan from Real Madrid, his parent club announced Monday.
Impact Paz has been a regular starter for Como in each of the last two seasons, starting in 66 of his 70 league appearances and racking up 18 goals with 14 assists. Having created 105 total chances over those two seasons and attempting over 100 shots in each campaign, Paz's role and importance at Como were expected to be huge ahead of the team's inaugural Champions League campaign, and the Argentina international will feature for them in the competition. The deal includes an option so Real Madrid can bring Paz, who's representing Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, back for the 2027/28 season.

Nico Paz - Features in midfield rotation Paz recorded one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 3-1 victory versus Jordan.
Impact Paz registered one shot, one tackle (one won) and four duel wins across his 61 minutes in Saturday's 3-1 win over Jordan before being replaced as part of coach Lionel Scaloni's rotations in the second half, contributing to a midfield performance that kept Jordan's defensive block under sustained pressure. The Como midfielder's technical intelligence and ability to find spaces give Argentina an interesting squad option heading into the knockout rounds.
JUNE 28 • ROTOWIRE
Martin Baturina - Two crosses made vs Ghana Baturina generated two crosses (zero accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Ghana.
Impact Baturina closed out the group stage with 88 minutes played, contributing two created chances, two crosses, and a tackle in the match against Ghana. Across 256 minutes, he has completed nine successful dribbles, won three tackles, and maintained a 75 percent pass accuracy. It's been a productive opening round for the midfielder, who has provided steady creativity and ball progression throughout Croatia's campaign.

The ultimate transfer domino! How €60m Nico Paz could unlock Jose Mourinho's blockbuster move for Inter defender revealed
Martin Baturina - Three crosses Tuesday Baturina registered one shot (zero on goal), three crosses (one accurate) and one corner in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Panama.
Impact After scoring in last week's opener versus England, Baturina had a quieter day versus Panama. He only attempted one shot at goal, a long-range strike just before halftime that forced a good Orlando Mosquera save. He also recorded three crosses on the attack, but nothing that truly threatened the Panamanian defense. He was very active on the defensive end in the clean sheet though as he won a team-high 15 duels and made one clearance in his full 90 minutes of action. He'll likely start the final match of the group stage versus Ghana, a must-win match in order to finish second in the group.

Explained: Why Real Madrid cannot re-sign in-demand Como star Nico Paz for €10m & immediately sell him for €60m in summer transfer window
Martin Baturina - Scores in loss to England Baturina scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one chance created in Wednesday's 4-2 loss against England.
Impact Baturina found the back of the net from long range to score the transitory 1-1 draw midway through the first half. The Como playmaker was a constant creative threat for Croatia, but at times he lacked support and company in the final third. Still, this impressive display against the Three Lions could allow him to remain in the starting lineup versus Panama on Tuesday, June 23.

Nico Paz - Misses session but due back Paz missed Thursday training as a precaution and is expected back for Friday session, Gaston Edul reports.
Impact Paz was back after a month out with a knee injury and used the Iceland friendly to put his fitness concerns to rest, but a cautious approach from coach Lionel Scaloni and the staff kept him out of Thursday's session as they managed the hamstring area around his left knee. The move was purely precautionary and he was due back for Friday's training. Even fully fit, though, Paz is unlikely to feature heavily for Argentina given the volume of attacking talent competing for places in Lionel Scaloni's squad.

Assane Diao - Minor knock managed, not injured Diao (undisclosed) was rested during Wednesday's 0-0 friendly against Saudi Arabia as a precaution after feeling a slight knock during training this week, but coach Pape Thiaw expr...
Impact Diao was managed carefully by the medical staff to avoid any unnecessary risk, with the issue considered minor rather than a genuine fitness concern. Manager Thiaw also highlighted the returns of Idrissa Gueye and Kalidou Koulibaly as significant positives from the preparation camp, with both players now back on the pitch and operational ahead of the tournament.

Nico Paz - Back in action against Iceland Paz (knee) played 58 minutes during Tuesday's international friendly game versus Iceland, gaining form ahead of the World Cup opener against Algeria.
Impact Paz is unlikely to start in the first few games of the major tournament but offers a talented attacking option if the defending champions need to add playmaking and distance-shooting ability on the wings. If he avoids further fitness complications, he'll compete for playing time with all of Nicolas Gonzalez, Giuliano Simeone and Lionel Messi. The Como man has scored one goal across three international appearances in 2026.
JUNE 9 • ROTOWIRE
Nico Paz - Set to feature vs Iceland Paz (knee) completed his first training session Sunday after being sidelined since May 10 and will be available for Tuesday's friendly against Iceland, according to Miamiherald.
Impact Paz's return to training is an encouraging development after the knee injury had raised doubts over his involvement in Argentina's early World Cup fixtures. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is unlikely to start against Algeria on June 16 but his availability gives coach Lionel Scaloni a valuable option in the creative midfield zone, particularly given the injury concerns surrounding several other attacking players in the squad. His recovery ahead of the tournament opener is a timely boost for the defending world champions.
JUNE 8 • ROTOWIRE
Nico Paz - Could return soon Paz (strain) didn't play in Argentina's friendly against Honduras on Saturday, but coach Lionel Scaloni revealed that "Nico could have been available today", Telemundo Deportes rep...
Impact Paz has shown positive signs in the final days of his recovery process from the muscle injury he picked up in May, and he's expected to be an option in Argentina's World Cup opener against Algeria. While he's unlikely to start, his availability would give the team a solid option, adding differential talent in the attacking midfield zone. He might contend for playing time with Nicolas Gonzalez (strain), Lionel Messi (hamstring) and Giuliano Simeone, gaining increased value if one of the other injured players fails to recover in the short term.
