Loans ends early Welch has been recalled from his loan spell with the Forest Green Rovers and will re-link with Everton.

Impact Welch is still looking to make his senior debut for Everton since joining its academy in 2010. With the Rovers this campaign, the defender appeared in 17 matches, scoring twice while averaging about 68 minutes per game.

Signs four-year extension Welch agreed to terms on a new four-year contract with Everton on Tuesday through 2026.

Impact Welch has made just two appearances for the senior team this season, including an EFL Cup clash with Fleetwood Town this season in which he logged 64 minutes as a starter. The youngster figures to remain primarily a U21 option this year but could be called up again for cup competitions down the road.
