Lutsharel Geertruida - Returns to Leipzig Geertruida returned to RB Leipzig following the conclusion of his loan spell with Sunderland.
Impact Geertruida spent the 2025-26 season on loan with Sunderland, where he gained regular first-team experience before returning to his parent club. The defender will now rejoin Leipzig for preseason preparations while his future remains unresolved. Whether he earns a role in the Bundesliga side's plans or pursues another move in the coming weeks remains to be seen.
2 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Antonio Nusa - Quiet 45-minute performance Nusa recorded one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Brazil.
Impact Nusa made limited offensive contributions before being subbed off for an impactful Andreas Schjelderup at half time during the knockout victory. It was a contrasting outcome to the previous contest, in which the 21-year-old scored his first goal of the tournament. Thus, he'll now be in contention and might split playing time with Schjelderup going forward.
4 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Robert Ramsak - Returning to Leipzig Ramsak has returned to RB Leipzig for the 2026/27 season after spending the 2025/26 campaign with Sandhausen and Braunschweig.
Impact Ramsak was loaned to Braunschweig in the first half of the campaign, and he moved to Sandhausen in the January transfer window. With both clubs, Ramsak notched 19 appearances across all competitions but didn't score a single goal. He's not expected to be part of Leipzig's first-team squad in 2026/27.
5 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Joyeux Masanka Bungi - Returning to Leipzig Masanka has returned to RB Leipzig after the end of his loan spell with the New York Red Bulls.
Impact Masanka joined NYRB in February, but he made two appearances at the MLS level and five more in the MLS Next Pro. He's a 19-year-old prospect who's yet to make his first-team debut with Leipzig, so another loan for the 2026/27 campaign isn't out of the question.
5 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Xaver Schlager - Posts two interceptions in Spain bout Schlager generated two interceptions and had nine passes in 45 minutes in Thursday's 3-0 defeat versus Spain.
Impact Schlager was fairly energetic and had a few offensive forays in the first half, but they didn't translate to the stat sheet, and he was replaced at the interval. He logged at least one interception in every fixture, totaling seven and posting one assist, six tackles (three won) and six clearances in four appearances during the tournament.
JULY 3 • ROTOWIRE
Nicolas Seiwald - Mostly quiet versus Spain Seiwald generated one shot (zero on goal), one clearance and one cross (zero accurate) in Thursday's 3-0 defeat against Spain.
Impact Seiwald didn't have a great showing and was replaced at halftime, subbing off early for the first time in the competition after struggling to contain, in particular, Pedri in the midfield. He tallied at least one tackle, amassing 10 (five won), and one clearance, piling up six, in all four World Cup matches, registering also two shots (zero on target), three crosses (one accurate) and four interceptions.
JULY 3 • ROTOWIRE
Arthur Vermeeren - Leaves Marseille Vermeeren will leave Marseille when his loan spell ends, according to Anthony Aubes of La Provence.
Impact Vermeeren made 20 Ligue 1 appearances, contributing one assist across 823 minutes in what was a difficult season that saw him fail to nail down a regular starting role. Vermeeren had previously experienced a loan spell at Atletico Madrid after coming through the Antwerp academy, and now returns to his parent club RB Leipzig ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Yan Diomande - Struggles in elimination Diomande registered one shot (zero on goal), seven crosses (one accurate) and eight corners in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Norway.
Impact Diomande took a single shot and put a single accurate cross in, but did little else during Tuesday's elimination. The winger has been one of the most sought after in Europe throughout the summer, and is now being linked to PSG, but he struggled in the final match of the World Cup. He was unable to really get involved, and the times he did he was wasteful. Diomande now faces an uncertain club future as he returns to Leipzig.
JUNE 30 • ROTOWIRE
Antonio Nusa - Opens scoring Antonio Nusa scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one chance created in Tuesday's 2-1 win against Cote D'ivoire. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 46t...
Impact Nusa got involved to open the scoring during Tuesday's win, a goal that proved to be crucial. It was a tight match throughout and Nusa didn't have nearly as much impact after his goal, but the goal was all he needed. Nusa will look to keep this going as Norway hope to pull off a shock against Brazil next time out.
JUNE 30 • ROTOWIRE
Eljif Elmas - Not staying at Napoli Elmas hasn't been bought out by Napoli following his return on loan from RB Leipzig.
Impact Elmas wasn't a surefire starter but played a lot thanks to his versatility and a few absences in 2025/2026, scoring once and tallying four assists, 31 chances created and 55 crosses (16 accurate) in 40 appearances (24 starts). Despite that, Napoli elected not to retain him. He'll likely seek a new home in the summer.

PSG reach five-year deal for RB Leipzig wonderkid amid Liverpool links | Sporting News It's starting to look like Yan Diomande will be joining Paris Saint-Germain in the coming weeks.
JUNE 29 • SPORTINGNEWS.COM
Xaver Schlager - Limited impact in draw Schlager had one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Algeria. He also had one clearance and one interception.
Impact Schlager didn't have a big impact on either side of the ball Saturday and was subbed off at halftime. He should remain in the XI for the Round of 32 against Spain since he has excellent rapport with Nicolas Seiwald, but his fantasy appeal has been minimal in a holding, defensive-minded role.
JUNE 28 • ROTOWIRE
Nicolas Seiwald - Takes two shots vs. Algeria Seiwald recorded two shots (zero on goal) in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Algeria.
Impact Seiwald was deployed in a holding midfield role, but he ended up leading the team in shots and constantly pushed the lines forward. The RB Leipzig midfielder should remain a starter in the Round of 32 versus Spain, but he shouldn't carry a ton of upside since he's expected to deploy in a more defensive stance.
JUNE 28 • ROTOWIRE
David Raum - Starts in group stage finale Raum recorded 11 crosses (three accurate) and one corner in Thursday's 2-1 loss against Ecuador.
Impact Raum was introduced into the starting XI for the group stage finale, starting at left-back after Nathaniel Brown suffered from some discomfort. Raum would play the full 90 and see some decent work with his tackle won and two clearances, although two goals allowed were a major blemish. He would also add two chances created and three crosses in the attack. He will likely return to the bench once Brown is fit again, although Raum could earn another start if the round of 32 comes too soon.
JUNE 25 • ROTOWIRE
Yan Diomande - Earns assist Diomande assisted once to go with three crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Thursday's 2-0 win over Curacao.
Impact Diomande would start the third group stage match for the Ivory Coast, not having started in all three games for the nation. He would finally earn his first goal contribution of the tournament as well, finding Nicolas Pepe in the seventh minute for the opener. The assist comes as a well-deserved goal contribution for the young attacker, now with three shots, seven crosses and 10 chances created in his World Cup campaign.
JUNE 25 • ROTOWIRE
Xaver Schlager - Starts on Monday Schlager generated one cross (zero accurate) and two tackles in Monday's 2-0 defeat to Argentina.
Impact Schlager covered nearly 10 kilometers and was heavily involved in Austria's structure at both ends. He completed 93 percent of his passes and contributed defensively with two tackles and an interception, but struggled in duels, winning only two of 11 ground duels. He was unable to consistently gain control against Argentina's midfield rotations resulting in a hardworking but an uneventful performance.
JUNE 23 • ROTOWIRE
Nicolas Seiwald - Starts on Monday Seiwald registered one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Monday's 2-0 defeat versus Argentina.
Impact Seiwald delivered one of Austria's most complete performances and covered over 10 kilometers. He completed 44 of 45 passes, won every ground duel he contested and recorded three tackles, three interceptions and a goal-line clearance. He had to cover a lot of distance to numerically match the 2v1 and 3v1 situations Argentina created out wide.
JUNE 23 • ROTOWIRE
Antonio Nusa - Fires two shots in Senegal fixture Nusa registered two shots (zero on goal), one interception and one clearance and created one scoring chance in Monday's 3-2 victory over Senegal.
Impact Nusa notched his first attempts and key pass in the competition, but he didn't have any crosses after uncorcking three versus Iran. He has yet to be properly unleashed in the World Cup, and he had to work hard to contain Krepin Diatta on the wing in this one, limiting his offensive output. He was replaced by Andreas Schjelderup in the final portion of the game like in the opener.
JUNE 23 • ROTOWIRE
Yan Diomande - Workmanlike showing versus Genoa Diomande won one of three tackles and generated one shot (zero on goal), one cross (one accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-1 loss against Germany.
Impact Diomande paced his outfit in key passes alongside a couple of teammates and was especially active in the first half, culminating in a powerful sprint and a precise low-driven cross that eventually led to Frank Kessie's goal, but he progressively faded throughout the course of the game. He has been busy on both ends thus far, registering three shots (zero on target), four crosses (two accurate) and eight tackles (three won) and creating seven chances in two tilts, but he has yet to be directly involved in a goal.
JUNE 20 • ROTOWIRE
Antonio Nusa - Dangerous runner from wide areas Antonio Nusa recorded three crosses (zero accurate) and one tackle in Tuesday's 4-1 victory against Iraq.
Impact Nusa was kept without a shot or chance created over the course of the game, largely a consequence of being stationed very wide, but he was a constant threat whenever he received possession, relying on his dribbling to try to find a way past Iraq's compact defensive block. He managed two successful dribbles and was fouled twice for his efforts, finishing with three crosses and one tackle defensively.
JUNE 17 • ROTOWIRE
Xaver Schlager - Provides assist and decent defense Schlager logged one assist on a chance created, four tackles (one won), three interceptions and three clearances during Austria's 3-1 win Tuesday against Jordan.
Impact It was a case of right place and time for Schlager, as all he did for his assist was make an easy pass to Romano Schmid, who excellently scored Austria's first goal from outside the penalty box. Most of Schlager's impact came defensively. The only Austrian to clear multiple balls, intercept several passes and win at least one tackle is Schlager, who partnered alongside Leipzig teammate Nicolas Seiwald as a defensive-midfield duo Tuesday. Even though Austria manager subbed Schlager off early against Jordan, the Schlager-Seiwald pair is projected to be a team staple this World Cup, especially with fellow midfielder Christoph Baumgartner (thigh) out said tournament.
JUNE 17 • ROTOWIRE
Nicolas Seiwald - One cross, two tackles won Seiwald logged one cross (one accurate), three tackles (two won), two clearances and one interception during Austria's 3-1 win Tuesday against Jordan.
Impact Like for RB Leipzig, Seiwald and Xaver Schlager partnered in Austria's midfield, though as a pair instead of its usual trio including Christoph Baumgartner (thigh). Even though Seiwald's lone cross found Marko Arnautovic, the veteran recipient opted to reset an attacking attempt rather than immediately shooting. Even though Seiwald's two clearances and one interception were fewer than those from some of his Austrian teammates, only he won multiple tackles, which the Leipzig midfielder sporadically achieved during the Bundesliga last season.
JUNE 17 • ROTOWIRE
Yan Diomande - Fills stat sheet in win Diomande generated two shots (zero on target), three crosses (one accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Ecuador. He also added five chances created, five tackles, t...
Impact Even though Amad Diallo scored the game-winning goal for Ivory Coast, there's no question that Diomande was the best player on the field for the Elephants. Diomande should be one of the busiest players for Ivory Coast in the match against Germany on Saturday, where his pace -- and familiarity due to him playing in the Bundesliga -- could be a game-changer for the African side.
JUNE 15 • ROTOWIRE
Antonio Nusa - Joins Norway for World Cup Nusa is set to start on the left of the attack for Norway at the 2026 World Cup.
Impact Nusa is entering his first World Cup as a major young piece for Norway, set to serve as an important attacker from the flanks. The 21-year-old has started to break onto the scene in the past two league seasons, leading to his inclusion in Norway's roster, recording four goals and three assists in his 31 appearances (24 starts) with Leipzig. He will now have to contend with Erling Haaland in the attack, although the focus on the Manchester City forward could leave Nusa a bit more open. With Norway's main way of staying in the tournament being to score, Nusa could be a decent shout for a couple of goal contributions before Norway's exit.
JUNE 10 • ROTOWIRE
Christoph Baumgartner - Continues rehabilitation at WC camp Baumgartner (muscular) will travel to Austria's World Cup camp in Santa Barbara to continue his rehabilitation following the successful procedure on his muscle injury, with the fed...
Impact Baumgartner sustained the injury ahead of the June 1 friendly against Tunisia and has already undergone a successful procedure, ruling him out of the World Cup entirely. Despite his unavailability for the tournament, the 26-year-old will spend a week at the Austrian camp working on his recovery under optimal medical conditions provided by both the federation and RB Leipzig. His presence in the camp will allow him to support his teammates during the competition while continuing his rehabilitation in familiar surroundings. A return to action ahead of next season remains the primary target, with the procedure expected to have him fit for the 2026-27 campaign.
