Kristoffer Velde - Moves to Portland Velde has completed a transfer to Portland from Olympiacos, according to his new club.
Impact Velde is leaving Greece to travel across the pond for his new club, joining Portland on a deal through 2028. He enters the team with plenty of experience, appearing in 34 games all of last season while bagging six goals and two assists. He will now occupy a designated player spot and should be keen on finding time soon after joining the club and being integrated.

Ariel Lassister - Six crosses off bench Lassiter had one shot (zero on goal), six crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 2-0 defeat versus FC Dallas.
Impact Even though Lassiter has come off the bench thrice across his last four appearances, his cross volume has been relatively high. Across the four-game span, he is averaging four crosses per game (1.1 accurate). However, Lassiter created only two chances, and his 2025 remains assistless.
AUGUST 10 • ROTOWIRE
David Pereira Da Costa - Seven crosses, five corners Da Costa recorded two shots (two on goal), seven crosses (one accurate) and five corners in Saturday's 2-0 defeat versus FC Dallas.
Impact For the first time since April 5, da Costa attempted more than six crosses in a game. But like the Timbers' draw at Austin then, he struggled with accuracy. This has been a theme for da Costa, whose last 11 appearances include 27 crosses, but with only four accurate. In the first 10, before Saturday's loss to Dallas, he logged three corners.
AUGUST 10 • ROTOWIRE
Maxime Crepeau - Concedes two goals Crepeau registered two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to FC Dallas.
Impact For the first time since July 13, Crepeau has conceded multiple goals in an MLS game. The goalkeeper will look to bounce back against FC Cincinnati, as both teams are schedueld to compete on Aug. 16.
AUGUST 10 • ROTOWIRE
David Ayala - Back in starting XI Ayala (lower body) is in the starting lineup in Saturday's trip to Dallas.
Impact Ayala missed the last Leagues Cup game as a precaution, so he could be fit enough for significant playing time in the weekend's match. As a defensive midfielder, he's usually active in passing duties while racking up tackles and clearances, though he has also scored twice and assisted once this year. His presence means that both Diego Chara and Joao Ortiz will be relegated to the bench for now.
AUGUST 9 • ROTOWIRE
Santiago Moreno - Out due to transfer Moreno (not injury related) is out for Saturday's trip to Dallas, per the MLS injury report.
Impact Moreno is listed as out not due to an injury, unsurprisingly as the club is in negotiations for his transfer. The midfielder is obviously one of the most important pieces of the team, but a split has seemed inevitable in recent weeks. With Moreno's absence, Portland will likely shift to a more defensive five at the back formation for Saturday's clash.
AUGUST 8 • ROTOWIRE
David Ayala - Left out as precaution Ayala suffered a lower-body injury in the game against Queretaro and was left out as a precaution for Wednesday's clash against Club America in the Leagues Cup, according to Jeremy...
Impact Ayala was left out of the squad in Wednesday's defeat against Club America in the Leagues Cup as a precaution after picking up a lower-body injury in their last contest. The midfielder will likely be assessed in the coming days to determine his availability for the upcoming fixtures. If he has to miss time, veteran Diego Chara is expected to see increased playing time in the midfield.
AUGUST 7 • ROTOWIRE
David Pereira Da Costa - Plays 55 minutes Wednesday Da Costa (shoulder) played 55 minutes in Wednesday's defeat against Club America in the Leagues Cup, confirming he is back from injury.
Impact Da Costa was forced off late in their last contest after sustaining a shoulder injury in a counter attack. That injury appeared to be minor since he was already back on the pitch on Wednesday and played 55 minutes while providing the assist for the opening goal by Ariel Lassiter. This is good news for the former Lens player since he is a key piece for the Timbers in his first season and they will need him fit for the final stretch of the campaign.
AUGUST 7 • ROTOWIRE
Antony Alves Santos - Returns in Leagues Cup Antony (hamstring) made his return from injury in Wednesday's defeat against Club America in the Leagues Cup.
Impact Antony missed the last six MLS games due to a hamstring injury that had kept him sidelined since mid-June, but that issue is now behind him after he returned in Wednesday's Leagues Cup game against Club America and played 40 minutes. This is great news for the Timbers since Antony is an undisputed starter in the frontline when fit and one of the main goal contributors on the team. This season, he has already surpassed his total from last year with 11 goal contributions in 18 MLS appearances.

Dario Zuparic - Plays full game Saturday Zuparic (hip) played the full game in Saturday's 1-0 win against Queretaro in the Leagues Cup, confirming he is back fit for Portland.
Impact Zuparic missed the last contest for the Timbers due to a hip injury, but that issue proved to be minor since he was back in the starting XI on Saturday and played the full game in the Leagues Cup. The defender has been an undisputed starter since mid May and is expected to keep that role moving forward.
AUGUST 3 • ROTOWIRE
Cristhian Paredes - Unused substitute Wednesday Paredes (undisclosed) was an unused substitute in Wednesday's 4-0 win over San Luis in the Leagues Cup, confirming he is back available for Portland.
Impact Paredes came off injured in their last contest against Los Angeles FC, but the injury proved to be only a minor one, as he was already back available on the bench for Wednesday's Leagues Cup game. That said, he has mainly been a bench option this season, although he started in the last two MLS games, so his return shouldn't impact the starting XI much.
JULY 30 • ROTOWIRE
David Pereira Da Costa - Forced off injured Da Costa was forced off in the 40th minute of Wednesday's 4-0 win over San Luis in the Leagues Cup after suffering a shoulder injury that was deemed not too serious following quick...
Impact Da Costa scored a stunning volley in the first minute of Wednesday's Leagues Cup opener before being forced off in the 40th minute with a shoulder injury sustained during a counterattack. Post-match scans revealed no damage to his shoulder, suggesting the Timbers playmaker may not miss much time, if any. If he is sidelined, Ariel Lassiter or Omir Fernandez would be the likely replacements until he returns to full fitness.

Finn Surman - Eight clearances in victory Surman registered one tackle (zero won) and eight clearances in Friday's 1-0 victory against Los Angeles Football Club.
Impact Surman logged a disciplined 90 minutes at the back, helping Portland keep a clean sheet and neutralize LAFC's limited attacking efforts with eight clearances, one tackle and one block. He won several aerial duels to disrupt opposition transitions in key moments when LAFC was pushing for a late equalizer. Surman has been an undisputed starter in central defense, missing only two matches in his first full season with Portland, and his consistency is becoming a key asset for the Timbers' upward push.
JULY 26 • ROTOWIRE
Maxime Crepeau - Keeps clean sheet in win Crepeau made three saves and allowed zero goals in Friday's 1-0 victory versus Los Angeles Football Club.
Impact Crepeau recorded his third clean sheet of the MLS season as Portland secured a 1-0 win at BMO Stadium against his former club LAFC. He made three saves, including a key stop on a bicycle kick from the young Kenny Nielsen in the final stages to preserve the lead. This victory ended Portland's three-match winless run and showcased Crepeau's reliability under pressure. Crepeau will aim to get a second clean sheet in a row against Dallas on Aug. 9.
JULY 26 • ROTOWIRE
Cristhian Paredes - Scores, comes off injured Friday Paredes scored one goal but left due to an injury in Friday's 1-0 win over Los Angeles FC.
Impact Paredes achieved the winning goal by heading a corner kick cross in the 45th minute of this match. Unfortunately for the midfielder, he's now a doubt for upcoming games, with the extent of his issue still unknown. Diego Chara might be the main beneficiary, joining David Ayala in central midfield in case the Paraguayan becomes unavailable.
JULY 25 • ROTOWIRE
David Pereira Da Costa - Starting Friday Da Costa (hamstring) is in the starting lineup Friday against Los Angeles FC.
Impact Da Costa has bounced back from a muscular issue that forced him to miss two league games. His inclusion from kickoff means that Ariel Lassiter is back in a bench role for the weekend match. The Portuguese was in strong form before suffering the injury as he had scored a goal in each of his last two appearances.
