Away on international duty
Mbaizo is away on international duty with Cameroon and will miss Friday's match against New England.
Impact
Mbaizo will fortunately only miss one match for Philly, mainly because they get a two-week break between games. With Alvas Powell also away, the Union have some questions to answer at right-back against the Revs.

Mbaizo sent in seven crosses (three accurate), created two chances, made one tackle (zero won) and one clearance and picked up a yellow card in Saturday's 1-1 draw to Montreal.
Impact
Mbaizo registered the second-most crosses and chances created for his side. But that wasn't enough to earn three points at home and they settled for the draw. The right-back also picked up his sixth yellow card, something to keep in mind when they visit DC United on Saturday.

Available to return
Mbaizo is expected to return during Saturday's match against Montreal, according to Joe Tansey of Fox Philadelphia.
Impact
Mbaizo missed Wednesday's win over NYCFC due to yellow card suspension and also dealt with losing a tooth during a Concacaf Champions League game, but the tooth was fortunately fake. He's recorded 90 crosses in 19 appearances this season and can be expected to start on the right flank if available.

Has tooth knocked out
Mbaizo (suspended) lost tooth due to a swinging elbow from an opponent during Thursday's Champions League match against Club America, according to Joe Tansey of Fox Philadelphia.
Impact
Mbaizo may have also picked up a head injury during this game, so he may not be ready when his suspension ends Aug. 21 against CF Montreal. For now, Alvas Powell has another chance to enter the starting lineup at right-back while Mbaizo is out.

Picks up another yellow card
Mbaizo picked up his fifth yellow card in Sunday's loss against the Revs and is suspended for the Aug. 18 match against NYC FC.
Impact
Mbaizo has started all but one match this season, so he'll need to be replaced on the right flank. Alvas Powell could be back for that match and if not, someone else may be asked to enter the starting XI despite his other two starts coming at left-back.

Sends six crosses in shutout win
Mbaizo had a clean sheet, one shot (off target), six crosses (one accurate), three tackles (none won) and two clearances in Wednesday's 3-0 win over Toronto FC.
Impact
Mbaizo finally held his first clean sheet in eight matches since June and has now racked up five shutouts this campaign. The full-back though has been very active offensively despite the porous defensive displays of his team and has two assists on 10 chances created and 34 crosses over his past six outings alone.

Crosses bail out subpar performance
Mbaizo sent seven crosses (two accurate), made one tackle (none won) and received one yellow card in the 1-1 draw with Inter Miami on Sunday.
Impact
Mbaizo has dropped defensive form over the past two appearances now and he is only being saved by his offensive capabilities. Luckily for him, he has also collected his first two assists of the season over the past four matches. Mbaizo typically is known for his two-way game and he will need to start helping out more defensively to get Philadelphia back on the path to success.

Sends in five crosses in win
Mbaizo had five crosses and a clearance before being subbed off because of cramping in the final minutes of Wednesday's 1-0 win against Columbus.
Impact
Mbaizo was up and down the pitch Wednesday and needed to be removed late with a bit of cramping, and it also helped Columbus secure the 1-0 win. He's started every match for Philly this season and unless he's unable to start again on a short week, he should be in the XI Saturday.
