Kouadio Kone - Comes off injured against Wolfsburg Kone was subbed out of Saturday's victory against Wolfsburg in the 60th minute after suffering an injury.
Impact It is unclear whether Kone will be forced to miss additional game time due to his injury, this coming in just his second game since returning from a knee issue that delayed his Bundesliga debut for a month. He has a few weeks of the international break to recover before Gladbach plays Stuttgart on Oct. 16.

Ramy Bensebaini - Shelved Saturday Bensebaini (groin) will miss Saturday's clash with Wolfsburg. Manager Adi Hutter told reporters, "Bensebaini has trained individually, but still isn't an option for the weekend."
Impact The good news for Bensebaini is that he will have an extra week to recover before Gladbach's next match against Stuttgart on Oct. 16 thanks to the international break. With Stefan Lainer (ankle) and Mamadou Doucoure (Achilles) both still sidelined, the club could certainly use some reinforcements on the backline. For his part, Bensebaini should be a near-lock for the starting XI once given the all-clear.
SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Lars Stindl - Whips in four crosses Stindl crossed four times inaccurately and created two chances during Saturday's 1-0 win over Dortmund.
Impact Stindl was held off the scoresheet as Gladbach needed just one win to take down Dortmund on Saturday. The midfielder failed to shoot but finished with the second highest amount of crosses and chances created on the team in the win.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Yann Sommer - No saves required Sommer kept a clean sheet without making a save during Saturday's 1-0 win over Dortmund.
Impact Sommer helped Gladbach claim all three points by shutting out Dortmund on Saturday. The clean sheet was the first in six league starts for the keeper while his save total remained at 17 for the year.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Hofmann - Leader in multiple categories Hofmann took three shots (one on goal), crossed five times (three accurate) and created four chances during Saturday's 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.
Impact Hofmann was held off the scoresheet as Gladbach needed just one goal to take down Dortmund. The midfielder finished with team-high totals in shots, crosses and chances created in the victory.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Denis Zakaria - Claims all three points Zakaria scored a goal while taking two shots (both on goal), crossing twice inaccurately and creating a chance during Saturday's 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.
Impact Zakaria found the back of the net in the 37th minute scoring the game's lone goal. The goal was the second of the season for the mifielder while his two shots were the second highest amount on the team.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Hofmann - Back in starting XI Hofmann (thigh) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Dortmund.
Impact Hofmann has recovered from his thigh injury and is back in the XI Saturday. The midfielder may not go a full 90, but he's been solid in three starts this season, producing one goal from nine shots with 12 corners taken.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Ramy Bensebaini - Resumes training Tuesday Bensebaini (groin) took part in Tuesday's first-team training session ahead of a clash with Dortmund on Saturday.
Impact After missing the team's last two matches due to his groin issue, Bensebaini has taken the next step in his recovery. Barring any setbacks, the defender could at least be an option to come off the bench versus Dortmund on Saturday and should challenge for a spot in the starting XI sooner rather than later.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Yann Sommer - No saves in loss Sommer made no saves and one clearance during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Augsburg.
Impact Sommer faced only one shot and failed to stop it during Saturday's defeat, in what was a poor match all-around. Neither team could finish well and the one goal Sommer conceded proved to be crucial. He has a brutal match up against Dortmund on Saturday to try and bounce back.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Louis Beyer - Busy defensively Beyer made five tackles and committed two fouls during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Augsburg.
Impact Beyer's five tackles led the team, but he failed to do much to get forward, playing out of position at right-back. The defender has bee relatively quiet to start the season, and unless that changes remains a near-zero value fantasy option. He will be tested fully Saturday, against Dortmund.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Alassane Plea - Four poor shots Plea shot four times off goal during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Augsburg.
Impact Plea sent in four shots but none of them were particularly dangerous, nor were they well struck. The forward failed to get on the score sheet once more and ended up failing to do much of anything despite spending 90 minutes on the pitch. Next up is a tough match against Dortmund on Saturday.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Patrick Herrmann - Eleven crosses in loss Herrmann sent in 11 crosses (three accurate) during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Augsburg.
Impact Herrmann sent in plenty of crosses and led the way in chances created, but failed to get on the score sheet. The finishing up front was simply pitiful, and cost Herrmann the chance at a few assists. Next up is a tough Saturday trip to Dortmund.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Kouadio Kone - Will return Saturday Kone (knee) will be in the match-day squad against Augsburg on Saturday. Manager Adi Hutter told reporters, "Manu Kone will be in the squad in Augsburg."
Impact Kone has yet to get onto the pitch for the club this season due to his knee problem. The midfielder shouldn't be expected to factor into the starting XI but could be an option off the bench. Without a clear path to minutes, Kone should be considered a mid-range fantasy option at best.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Ramy Bensebaini - In doubt Saturday Bensebaini (groin) is questionable versus Augsburg on Saturday as manager Adi Hutter told reporters, "Bensebaini is also still a big doubt."
Impact Bensebaini has made just two appearances (one start) this season, so his spot in the squad is far from guaranteed even once cleared to play, especially considering the club has employed three central defenders of late. If Bensebaini is cleared to play, Joseph Scally could be the odd man out on the backline.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Hofmann - Officially ruled out Hofmann (thigh) will not be in action against Augsburg on Saturday after manager Adi Hutter told reporters, "The injury Jonas Hofmann picked up against Bielefeld will keep him out...
Impact Hofmann's absence won't be an easy one for Gladbach to overcome considering he leads the team in both corners and crosses. The midfielder's spot in the starting XI will almost certainly go to Breel Embolo who figures to also be in the mix for Hofmann's role on freekicks, though Laszlo Benes and Florian Neuhaus could also be options.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Hofmann - In doubt Saturday Hofmann (thigh) is questionable for Saturday's matchup with FC Augsburg with manager Adi Hutter telling reporters, "It's touch and go for the weekend."
Impact Through the first four matches of the season, Hofmann has taken 76 percent of the club's corners and produced 29 percent of all crosses, so his potential absence from the lineup would significantly impact the club's attack. If Hofmann does miss out Saturday, Patrick Herrmann would be the likely candidate to replace him on the pitch and could even take some corners.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Yann Sommer - Stands on head in 3-1 win Sommer made six saves and conceded once in the 3-1 win against Arminia Bielefeld on Sunday.
Impact Sommer was outstanding in the win Sunday and he is the only reason Monchengladbach won the way they did. Sommer was forced a few times to make one-on-one saves and he arose to the occasion. Sommer has had a few ups and downs so far to start, but he looked in fine form here.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Lars Stindl - Bags brace with bounce in win Stindl scored twice, took five shots (two on target), created one chance, sent one cross (one accurate) and made two tackles (none won) during the 3-1 win over Arminia Bielefeld on...
Impact Stindl ran rampant on Arminia's backline the entire match. The midfielder did catch luck on a deflection to open his scoring account in the match, but he finished his performance off with a well-taken header from a fantastic cross to score his second and final goal. He could have had a hattrick if not for the lack of patience with a few of his shots that he put wide. This was without a doubt his best performance so far and he will hope to replicate it when they travel to Augsburg next weekend.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Denis Zakaria - Scores first in return to XI Zakaria scored once, took one shot (one on target), made one tackle (none won) and intercepted once in the 3-1 win over Arminia Bielefeld on Sunday.
Impact Zakaria was subpar at best in his return to the starting XI, but he at least saved the awful performance with a last-second goal to cap off the win over Arminia. The midfielder is one of the better box-to-box players in the league and he will be a good shout to rack up peripherals on both sides of the ball once he is up to speed.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Patrick Herrmann - Collects two assists off bench Herrmann assisted twice, took one shot (none on target), created two chances and sent one cross (one accurate) in the 3-1 victory over Arminia Bielefeld on Sunday.
Impact Herrmann ended up replacing injured teammate Luca Netz shortly after the second-half began and he did not disappoint. The midfielder went on to set up a beautiful goal with teammate Lars Stindl and then set up Denis Zakaria late in the game with a perfect pass at the edge of the box. Herrmann has never been a player that takes a lot of chances himself and he enjoys creating plays instead. If he sees any extended time with the fatigue bug hitting Netz, he will be a worthwhile shout.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Luca Netz - Assists in full debut early leave Netz assisted once, took one shot (none on target), created two chances and made two tackles (one won) before he was replaced by teammate Patrick Herrmann in the 3-1 win over Armin...
Impact Netz did very little in his first start since signing on permanently with Monchengladbach at the beginning of August. The defender did manage to snag his first career assist, but he would end up making an early departure due to fatigue in the second-half. Netz is one of the more promising players for both club and country and for his sake, he hopes this does not affect him long-term.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Hofmann - Leaves after half-time in win Hofmann produced one shot (none on target), created one chance, sent three crosses (one accurate) and took two corners before he was replaced by Hannes Wolf at half-time in the 3-1...
Impact Hofmann made his third consecutive start, but he was average at best in his time on the field. The midfielder barely influenced the play and he ultimately would leave after half-time, because of a thigh injury. It is unknown the extent of the injury and if he will miss time.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Matthias Ginter - Starting Sunday Ginter made the starting XI for Sunday's match against Arminia Bielfeld.
Impact Ginter has tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago but is back in the lineup after missing just one game thanks to the international window. With at least 31 starts made over the previous two seasons, Ginter is likely to be ever-present when he's fit.
