Torn ACL confirmed
Salisu will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL, according to his club.
Impact
Salisu suffered a knee injury to end Sunday's match and after he was taken in for evaluation, it was decided the defender had suffered a torn ACL. Unfortunately, the defender will miss the remainder of the season and potentially the first few months of the next season, facing around seven to nine months of recovery. The club will have to do without a regular defender for the rest of the season, with Christian Mawissa Elbe as his likely replacement moving forward.

Own goal in draw
Salisu generated an own goal and 12 clearances in Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Pafos. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 91st minute.
Impact
Salisu had the misfortune of accounting for an own goal in the draw, but he also recorded 54 completed passes, which marks a high among four UCL appearances this season. On the other hand, this was the first time among the four outings that he failed to record an interception. He also has not administered a tackle in any of the four matches.

Earns starting spot
Salisu (knee) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Rennes.
Impact
Salisu was trainign normally this week and that has led to his return, as the defender is in the starting XI Saturday. He is a regular in their backline dand should remain serving as a starter, starting in their past nine outings.

Training normally
Salisu (knee) was spotted training normally with the team on Tuesday, according to L'Equipe.
Impact
Salisu returned earlier from international duty with Ghana due to suffering a MCL sprain that proved to be minor since he was training normally with the team on Tuesday. This is massive news for Monaco since they are dealing with numerous absences in the backline and Thilo Kehrer would have been the only former center-back available if Salisu had to miss time with an injury. If Salisu can make the squad for Saturday's clash against Rennes, he should return directly to a starting role in the back-three. If not, Jordan Teze could be the one stepping into that unusual spot for him.

Suffers MCL sprain
Salisu has withdrawn from the Ghana national team due to a sprained MCL, according to his national team.
Impact
Salisu will not participate with Ghana as they take the field for a match Tuesday, as the defender has instead returned to Monaco after suffering a knee injury. Unfortunately for him, this will be something to monitor, likely to be a late call for his upcoming contest on Nov. 22 against Rennes. He is an everyday starter for Monaco, so they will hope he can make a quick turnaround to be fit by then, with Eric Dier as a possible replacement if Salisu misses out.

Scores winner agains Toulouse
Salisu scored a goal off his lone shot, made two tackles, 12 clearances and two interceptions and helped his side to keep a clean sheet during Saturday's 1-0 win over Toulouse.
Impact
Salisu headed home a cross from the left to scored what ended up being a game-winner at the 3rd minute and then put up a spectacular defensive outing to help his side shutting the opposition down for the second consecutive match. More goals shouldn't be expected from the center-back as he never had more than one league goal in a season but he's starting to regain his best form after missing the start of the campaign, with 26 clearances over his last three starts.

Out Thursday
Salisu (knock) is out for Thursday's trip to Club Brugge, according to Christopher Roux of Nice Matin.
Impact
Salisu isn't an option Thursday due to a knock he picked up against Auxerre. The defender will hope it's not a serious concern, and could be back as soon as a Sunday clash with Metz. Salisu went the full 90 against Auxerre, with his absence likely bringing Eric Dier back into the starting XI.

Salisu scored on his only shot, making the most of a rare chance in front of goal. the defender isn't generally a major offensive contributor, but his goal Friday was certainly a nice boon. Salisu won't be likely to take on any major offensive role in the coming weeks.

Makes squad for Saturday
Salisu (hamstring) is in the squad for Saturday's game against Strasbourg.

Returns to training
Salisu (hamstring) is in training ahead of Saturday's trip to Strasbourg, according to manager Adi Hutter.
Impact
Salisu got back in training ahead of Saturday's match, and could be an option. The defender has missed around a month with the hamstring issue, and has been slowly ramping up his training. It's not clear if he's fit enough for a large role Saturday, or if he needs the international break to rebuild fitness.

Impact
Ivan Nevistic clashed with a teammate and fell inside the box when rushing out for a corner, allowing Salisu to score from close range with a header. Salisu should earn most of his value via defensive stats, but the center-back is expected to be a menace in set-piece situations going forward due to his height.

Fails to return from injury
Salisu missed the final two months of the season with a pelvis injury that he suffered in March.
Impact
Salisu was a regular on the back line until injuries prevented him from playing. Originally a minor hip issue, he went out on international duty in March and likely made it worse, having not returned since. When healthy, he started almost every match for Southampton the last two seasons, including 21 starts in the most recent campaign.

Impact
