Impact Modric spent Wednesday's training session in the gym and though there's no official word from his team, this could explain why he wasn't a full participant. With a projected return in time for the Oct. 16 Clasico against Barcelona at the latest but a good chance to be back by the Oct. 8 match at Getafe, it could be up to Federico Valverde to drop into midfield or Eduardo Camavinga to return to the lineup while Modric is out, though Toni Kroos should take over as the top creative option by Sunday's match against Osasuna.
