Impact McGinn maintained the starting role he had held with the club since the 2020/21 campaign, having started in every game he was available for, only missing out three times due to injury. It was the club's captain's best season to date, as he was not only influential with his playmaking skills across the field but also registered a new career-high for goal contributions in a season, notching 10, with his next best being eight in a campaign. He extended his contract until 2027 last season, so the midfielder is here to stay. He will hope he can have the same success he had with Villa this season in Euro 2024, as he will be an integral piece to the Scottish squad.
