Signs permanent deal with Palace Mateta has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Crystal Palace, ending his loan from Mainz.

Impact Mateta has apparently made a good impression in the past year despite making only 14 league appearances, five of them being starts. His role figures to grow over the years, something that could happen if Christian Benteke leaves the club this summer.

Impact Mateta set up Odsonne Edouard for the only Palace goal of the match. The forward has started to establish himself in the starting XI of late, though unfortunately that still keeps him out of contention as a consistent fantasy play. He is worth considering if he starts against Norwich after the international break.

In that game, Mateta could face a defense that's conceded the joint third-fewest goals in the league to forwards.
