Is held in check during draw Zardes took one shot (none on target) in the 0-0 draw with Philadelphia on Sunday.
Impact Zardes was extremely inefficient in the draw Sunday. The forward had a single chance between himself and the club through 84 minutes of play. However, this is more of an outlier than anything. Over his two seasons in the MLS, Zardes has been known for his shoot-first mentality. Through last season he averaged, 2.42 shots, 1.23 created chances and 0.5 tackles per 90 minutes. The major issue with Zardes is his accuracy and his conversion rate though. In the same season he had 47 percent accuracy and a mediocre 24 percent conversion rate. Nevertheless, he continues to spearhead the attack for Columbus and he will be exciting to watch throughout the season.
