Life as a Premier League star is undoubtedly glamorous. Life as a wannabe Premier League star is not so much. Saturday gave us a glimpse into the life of the latter, as a Zlatan Ibrahimovic lookalike rushed the pitch in Manchester United's win against Leicester City to get up close and personal with the real article. It went about as well as one would predict.
Caught from behind
After a first-half goal from Manchester United, the bootleg Zlatan seized his opportunity. He leaped out onto the pitch and caught up to the unsuspecting Swede.
This guy might look like Zlatan out in the wild, but when he's shoulder-to-shoulder with the real thing? It's no contest. The fake Z looks like he's almost saying "What? You don't recognize me?" No, trickster, he does not.
This is the appropriate response when a stranger that's seemingly seen "Single White Female" one too many times tries to give you a hug. Give them a stiff arm to the face and keep them the heck away. Side note: Fire up the Zlatan to NFL rumors.
Laughing it off
After the knockoff Zlatan had his fun, Ibrahimovic The Real had himself a chuckle. Fake Zlatan got to touch his muse, but that was about the extent of it. He seemed happy, regardless.
Ahh, that's right. There are supposed to be stewards and security personnel at these matches. The neon coat came late to the party, but he wrapped up the impersonator and ended the fun. Look at the lookalike's smile, despite knowing the jig was up. Nothing is ruining his day.
There's only one Zlatan
After the ordeal was was over, Ibrahimovic and Man United continued their pummeling of the Premier League champions. Zlatan remained Zlatan, and the phony disappeared to wherever they take pitch invaders. Until next time!
