Picks up rib issue Schar picked up a rib problem earlier in the week but is expected to be ready for Sunday's match against Leicester, according to manager Eddie Howe.

Impact Schar should be fine to start Sunday, but in case he's not, Newcastle have numerous guys to take his spot, namely Federico Fernandez. Schar has been a favorite of Howe early on and that'll hopefully lead to more clean sheets as the season moves along.

Impact Schar received his first start in about two months in the game against Brentford, so it's possible he was dealing with cramps. If Newcastle continue with a 3-4-3 formation, Schar looks to be the regular at center-back under new management, a role he lost under Steve Bruce.

Impact Schar has played 17 minutes since early February because of injury and then this suspension. It's unlikely he'll crack the starting XI in the finale, as Steve Bruce will likely continue with the formation and squad that has worked over the last month, leading to numerous wins and most recently a clean sheet.
