Jean Matteo Bahoya - Fit for Tuesday Bahoya (illness) is healthy again and an option for Tuesday's match against Stuttgart, according to manager Dino Toppmoller. "We also still have Ansgar and Jean-Matteo, who is now...
Impact Bahoya missed the last match due to illness and is now on the verge of a return, with the attacker cleared for Tuesday's game. This will likely lead the attacker to a spot on the bench, only starting in eight of 14 appearances this season, more of an option from the bench recently.
JANUARY 12 • ROTOWIRE
Fares Chaibi - Reunites with Frankfurt Chaibi is heading back to Frankfurt after completing his international duty with Algeria at the AFCON and should be back available for Friday's clash against Bremen.
Impact Chaibi was eliminated with Algeria from the AFCON and will now head back to Frankfurt and should be back available for Friday's clash against Bremen since the game against Stuttgart coming on Tuesday is likely too close for him. The midfielder has been an undisputed starter for the eagles this season and will claim back his role now that he is an option.
JANUARY 12 • ROTOWIRE
Arnaud Kalimuendo - Assists in draw Arnaud Kalimuendo assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created in Friday's 3-3 draw versus Borussia Dortmund. In addition, he was given a yellow card in...
Impact Kalimuendo provided one assist during Friday's clash, making the most of the only chance he created. The new loan signing was an excellent addition for Frankfurt and immediately showed his attacking threat. Kalimuendo has plenty of upside moving forward and should play a big role in the Frankfurt attack, which is one of the best in Germany.
JANUARY 10 • ROTOWIRE
Mahmoud Dahoud - Nets on lone shot Dahoud scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Friday's 3-3 draw against Borussia Dortmund.
Impact Dahoud took a single shot during Friday's draw and found the back of the net. The midfielder isn't a consistent attacking option, and even when in the starting XI he has limited upside. This goal is a nice boon, but Dahoud isn't going to be a major offensive threat moving forward especially in a defensive role.
JANUARY 10 • ROTOWIRE
Can Uzun - Nets penalty Uzun scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Friday's 3-3 draw versus Borussia Dortmund.
Impact Uzun scored from the penalty spot during Friday's clash with Dortmund. The young attacker is a brilliant option, and now with a duty on penalties he has even more upside. That gives Uzun even more upside, and he's already produced brilliantly from open play. Uzun will be a top attacking option against beatable opponents in a free-flowing Frankfurt attack.

Frankfurt share new year spoils with Dortmund in thrilling Bundesliga draw

A last-minute goal has given Borussia Dortmund a 3-3 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt in a thrilling restart to the Bundesliga league
JANUARY 9 • Associated Press
Mario Gotze - Available off bench Gotze (illness) is available off the bench for Friday's game against Dortmund.
Impact The veteran playmaker missed the final game of 2025 with an illness, but he'll be an option for the 2026 campaign opener. However, as a bench player, his fantasy upside will be severely limited.

Dortmund and Frankfurt under pressure as they kick off Bundesliga return

The Bundesliga is back and so is the pressure for Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt
JANUARY 8 • Associated Press
Jean Matteo Bahoya - Out with illness Bahoya is out for Friday's match against Dortmund due to an illness, according to manager Dino Toppmoller.
Impact Bahoya is not going to be with the team after they return from their winter break spell, instead sidelined due to an illness. This will be something to monitor with such a quick turnaround ahead, potentially missing Tuesday's match against Stuttgart as well. He started in their last contest, so this will force a change, with Can Uzan as his likely replacement.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Ellyes Skhiri - Will return for Stuttgart game Skhiri (international break) will return to his club Monday, according to manager Dino Toppmoller. " Ellyes will join the team again next Monday"
Impact Skhiri is not yet an option for the club despite the end of his AFCOM campaign, as the midfielder was instead resting for a week back at home. He will now return Monday and begin to train again, leaving him an option to face Stuttgart on Tuesday. He will look to start upon his return, starting in the tto games before his absence begun.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Jonathan Burkardt - Still out Burkardt (calf) is out for Friday's match against Dortmund, according to manager Dino Toppmoller.
Impact Burkardt has not been able to recover in the few weeks since the start of the break, as the forward is now set to miss their first match of 2026 due to the injury. This will extend his absence to six games, a rough timeline for the typical starter. Ansgar Knauff should remain their starting forward until Burkardt returns to play.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Arnaud Kalimuendo - Joins Eintracht Frankfurt on loan Kalimuendo has moved to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Nottingham Forest with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season, his new team announced Wednesday.
Impact Kalimuendo ended up being a depth asset for his last team with Chris Wood (knee), Igor Jesus and Taiwo Awoniyi being preferred over him. Still, the French striker is a young talent with potential to play a bigger role in the Bundesliga after tallying 17 goals and three assists in 33 games during his 2024/25 stint in Ligue 1 with Rennes. He'll now be in contention with Ansgar Knauff and at some point with Jonathan Burkardt (calf).
JANUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Ellyes Skhiri - Getting extra rest Skhiri (not injury related) will be out of action for another week while he recovers from his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, according to his club.
Impact Skhiri was heavily involved for Tunisia during the continental tournament, so he's likely dealing with fatigue, and he won't be an option for Friday's clash with Borussia Dortmund. The midfielder previously made nine Bundesliga appearances in the 2025/26 season, tallying 318 accurate passes, 11 interceptions and eight clearances over that span. Both Hugo Larsson and Mahmoud Dahoud should see increased playing time until Skhiri rejoins the squad.

Kennet Eichhorn: Why Man Utd, Real Madrid & Barcelona are all interested in Hertha Berlin's 16-year-old Toni Kroos regen
Michael Zetterer - One save for draw Zetterer made one save and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Hamburger SV.
Impact Zetterer only faced two shots during Saturday's clash. He stopped one of them and couldn't stop the other leaving with a disappointing draw. Neither Frankfurt goalkeeper covered themself in glory during the first half of the season, so it's possible Zetterer faces a challenge from Kaua Santos for the starting job during the back half of the campaign.
DECEMBER 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Nnamdi Collins - Quiet in draw Collins recorded one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Hamburger SV.
Impact Collins got the start as a wide center-back once more and he actually got forward more than he normally does. He created a chance and sent in a cross, though for the most part Collins' value comes from his defense and chances at clean sheets. Even when he lines up as a full-back, Collins is a purely defensive option.
DECEMBER 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Hugo Larsson - Nets on return Larsson scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Hamburger SV.
Impact Larsson returned from injury Saturday and immediately found the back of the net. He finished smoothly with his only shot on goal and played his usual role in the center of the park. He wasn't as mobile as he is at his best but the fact Larsson was able to score and play most of the match is a good sign that he's back fit enough for big minutes after the break.
DECEMBER 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Arthur Theate - Suspension cleared Theate is no longer suspended and is an option moving forward for the club.
Impact Theate has served his suspension due to yellow cards accumulation in the Bundesliga and is set to return in the next contest. The defender has been an undisputed starter for Frankfurt this season and will claim back his role against Dortmund on Jan. 9.
DECEMBER 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Elias Baum - Set for sidelines Baum suffered an inner ligament injury in his knee in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Hamburger and is out for the time being, the club announced.
Impact Baum featured for 13 minutes in Saturday's draw against the Red Shorts and suffered an inner ligament injury in his knee that will sideline him for some time while he undergoes conservative treatment. This is a blow for Frankfurt since it was the first time the defender played this season, adding a defensive option in the backline, but he will now need to wait to see more playing time.
DECEMBER 21, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Elias Baum - Leaves after 13 minutes Baum was forced off the field after 13 minutes of play in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Hamburger due to an injury.
Impact Baum was brought onto the field as a substitute but would not last long Saturday, coming off the field after 13 minutes due to an injury. This will be something to monitor, but it would be a minor loss, as this was his first start of the season, mainly going unused.
DECEMBER 20, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Mario Gotze - Ruled out with illness Gotze (illness) is not available for Saturday's clash against Hamburger, the club announced.
Impact Gotze is ruled out for the last clash of the year against Hamburger on Saturday due to suffering from a cold. The midfielder will hope to recover in the next two weeks before the first game of 2026 against his former club Dortmund on Jan. 9, although his absence doesn't affect the starting XI since he has mainly been a bench option for the eagles this season.
DECEMBER 20, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Hugo Larsson - Finds starting role Larsson (knock) is in the starting XI for Saturday's clash against Hamburger.
Impact Larsson was ruled out last outing due to a knock but has since returned to training and is finding a starting role for Saturday's match against the red shorts. He has started in 10 of his 14 appearances this campaign, which supports the decision to reinsert him directly into the XI. While the club could still exercise caution with the winter break looming, his training return suggests he is fit enough to handle a full role.
DECEMBER 20, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Robin Koch - Makes starting XI Koch (undisclosed) is in the starting XI for Saturday's clash against Hamburger.
Impact Koch is set to make the starting XI for Saturday's match after being deemed fit despite leaving the field early in the previous outing. The defender trained without restrictions and showed no lingering issues ahead of the weekend. His return to the starting XI shows that the staff has no doubts on his fitness.

Bayern aims for another big Bundesliga win to sign off 2025

DECEMBER 19, 2025 • Associated Press
Keita Kosugi - Signs with Frankfurt Kosugi has completed a permanent move from Djurgardens to Frankfurt, his new club announced Thursday.
Impact Kosugi is a promising left-back who already turned heads during Djurgardens' 2024/25 UEFA Conference League campaign. Kosugi will add depth to Frankfurt's defensive line and will be eligible to play once the January transfer window opens in January.
