Impact Edwards Jr. had his first appearance since May and was betrayed by a teammate's deflection on the lone goal scored by the opposition in the 22nd minute. The goalkeeper had a safe game the rest of the way and that was enough to do better than former starter Daniel mostly did throughout the entire campaign, especially over the last three months. If San Jose doesn't explore the market to find a new shot-stopper, competition could get interesting to see who gets the nod between the posts next year.

Impact Edwards was dealt to the Quakes in a move that saw the Revolution pick up some GAM. It's not a shocking trade, Edwards showed himself as a capable backup, but failed to step forward and take the starting job. He will likely be depth, at least at first, in San Jose.
