The attacker has now registered a goal contribution in each of his last two contests after notching an assist against Bayern Munich last week. Assists despite loss Olmo assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Bayern Munich.
Impact Olmo put his name back on the scoresheet in one of the absolute hardest matches of the season. The attacking midfielder has had his amazing form disrupted by injuries, but now that he's back in the starting XI he has the potential to be one of the most productive options in the Bundesliga. Olmo should continue to see a major role as long as he can stay fit.
FEBRUARY 26, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

FEBRUARY 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet despite win Olmo recorded two shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 2-0 win versus Union Berlin.
Impact Olmo was pedestrian during Sunday's win, sending in just a single cross and failing to create like he normally does. The attacking midfielder has struggled with injuries and doesn't seem to be back to his pre-injury best. Still Olmo is an elite attacking option who should play his way back into form if he can stay fit.
FEBRUARY 5, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Plays final 22 minutes Olmo took two off target shots, crossed twice accurately and created three chances during Saturday's 1-0 loss to Frankfurt.
Impact Olmo entered the match in the 68th minute making his first appearance since October. The attacker will continue to work his way back to full match fitness before attempting to return to the starting XI.
JANUARY 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Among substitutes Saturday Olmo (shoulder) is among the substitutes for Saturday's match against Frankfurt.
Impact Olmo returns from a shoulder injury which has kept him out of action since October. The attacker is available from the bench having scored twice and provided an assist in five Bundesliga appearances.
JANUARY 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Working individually Olmo (shoulder) is rehabbing individually to start RB Leipzig's training camp.
Impact Olmo was included in the training camp squad, but he only kicked off with an individual session. The attacking midfielder was in absolutely flying form before going down with yet another frustrating injury. He has an outside chance to return in some capacity for a Jan. 13 clash with Frankfurt, though a start would be surprising.
JANUARY 2, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Still unavailable Tuesday Olmo remains out of action heading into Tuesday's clash with Werder Bremen.
Impact Olmo has already been out of action for the club's last nine matches and seems no closer to getting back into the squad. Still, the club will have some extra time off thanks to the winter break, which could give Olmo a chance to get back into team training. Even once cleared to play, Olmo is far from a lock for the starting XI after coming off the bench in each of his last three contests.
DECEMBER 18, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Working individually Olmo (shoulder) has been training on the grass individually since his surgery.
Impact Olmo is making great progress since his shoulder surgery as he is back on the grass. He could make a return before the 2023 year ends, granted any setbacks in his recovery. Before going down on injury, the midfielder had scored three goals and one assist in six games, three of them coming as starts.
NOVEMBER 24, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Olmo returned off the bench for the third time since recovering from a leg issue and is now on the sideline indefinitely with a shoulder injury. Rose also added that surgery is possible. It's yet another awful turn for Olmo who is incredibly talented when on the pitch but can seemingly never stay fit and available. Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg will be in for more minutes with Olmo sidelined.

Impact Olmo was brought once again off the bench, replacing Xavi Simons in the 75th minute, and, less than 10 minutes later, the playmaker appeared at the right place to seal the 3-1 win with an easy tap-in off the crossbar. Olmo, who's still regaining his best conditioning after already missing time with a knee injury, will hope to get more playing time during Saturday's Bundesliga clash against Koln.
OCTOBER 26, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Returns in rout Olmo came off the bench for the final 10 minutes of Saturday's 3-1 win over Darmstadt.
Impact Olmo made his return after six matches on the sideline and created a chance in just 10 minutes. Prior to his injury Olmo and Xavi Simons were forming one of the best creative partnerships in Germany, form they will hope to rekindle. Talent has never been the concern for Olmo who just struggles to stay on the pitch and play the minutes his talent deserves. Now that he is fit once more it will be Emil Forsberg who falls into a more rotational role as Olmo presumably take his starting job straight away.
OCTOBER 21, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Could return Saturday Olmo (knee) may be an option against Darmstadt on Saturday after rejoining first-team training Tuesday.
Impact Olmo has missed the last six contests due to his knee problem but could be ready to rejoin the squad. Prior to getting hurt, the attacking midfielder started the opening three contests in which he registered two goals on six shots (three on target), one assist and five crosses (zero accurate). While he may not start right out the gate, Olmo should be in contention for a spot in the starting XI once back up to full match fitness.
OCTOBER 17, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Olmo has missed the club's last six matches due to his knee problem but could be trending in the right direction coming out of the international break. Prior to his absence, the attacking midfielder started three consecutive matches in which he recorded two goals on six shots (three on target), one assist and five crosses (zero accurate). If Olmo is cleared ahead of the club's Oct. 21 clash with Darmstadt, he should be in contention for a spot in the starting XI.
OCTOBER 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Out for UCL match Olmo (knee) won't be an option for Wednesday's match against Manchester City, according to the team. "Olmo is developing in the right direction. However, it is still too early."
Impact Olmo will remain sidelined for another match while he tries to recover from a knee injury. The attacker will now miss Leipzig's last five matches and may still be a couple of weeks away from a return. The club's statement did hint he was making good progress, but they will not want to rush one of their most important players back to the field. His most likely return date will be against Darmstadt after the international break.
OCTOBER 3, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Set for few weeks absence Olmo is set to miss the next few matches after picking up a knee injury with the Spain national team.
Impact Olmo could see a return near the end of September following his knee injury while on international duty. He's started all three matches thus far for Leipzig, totaling two goals in that span. Timo Werner could see more playing time in the attach while Olmo is sidelined.
SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Out against Augsburg Olmo (knee) will miss Saturday's clash with Augsburg, Leipzig reports.
Impact Olmo could face a longer spell on the sideline but is hoping the knee injury is a minor one. The injury prone attacking midfielder is one of the best in the Bundesliga when fit and should be a top option whenever he can get on the pitch.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up knee injury Olmo (knee) suffered a knee injury and is returning to Leipzig for evaluation, the club announced.
Impact Olmo at the very least is going to undergo tests, but this is an awful concern for the oft-injured attacker. Olmo is one of the most talented in the Bundesliga but seems to end up on the sideline via injury more often than not. Olmo's potential absence would push Timo Werner into the starting XI.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
First assist Olmo assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal), three crosses (zero accurate) and two chances created in Sunday's 3-0 victory against Union Berlin.
Impact Olmo assisted once, keeping his streak alive to open the Bundesliga. Olmo most importantly has stayed healthy heading into the international break, when fit he is one of the most dangerous attackers in Germany. Alongside Lois Openda and Xavi Simons, Olmo could be in for a career-year if he can stay fit and on the pitch.
SEPTEMBER 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Ridiculous form continues Olmo scored one goal to go with four shots (one on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Friday's 5-1 victory versus VfB Stuttgart.
Impact Olmo has now scored five goals in three matches across two Bundesliga matches and the Super Cup. One of the most talented attacking options in Germany Olmo is impossible to ignore and when fit should be one of the top playmakers for Leipzig. The only concern for Olmo is the aforementioned fitness as he has started less than half the available Bundesliga matches in the past two seasons.
AUGUST 25, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Scores with lone shot Olmo scored a goal with his lone shot while creating a chance during Saturday's 3-2 loss to Leverkusen.
Impact Olmo found the back of the net in the 39th minute scoring with his lone shot of the match. Olmo is in red hot form to start the season, scoring a hat trick in the German Super Cup and a goal during Saturday's Bundesliga opener, as he's halfway to last season's goal total after just one match.
AUGUST 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Extends contract with Leipzig Olmo has signed a four-year contract extension with RB Leipzig, the club announced Thursday.
Impact Olmo has tallied 13 goals and 19 assists across 86 Bundesliga appearances, plus another two goals and two assists in 15 Champions League games since joining Leipzig in January 2020, and the 25-year-old has now signed on to remain at the club through the 2026/27 campaign. He's suffered through multiple injuries over the last two seasons and has only been able to start at least 20 league matches one time across his three full seasons in Germany thus far, so the attacking midfielder/winger will hope to maintain his fitness first and foremost moving forward.
