Hugo Cuypers - Misses PK in win
Cuypers had three shots (two on target), created one chance and missed a penalty during Saturday's 3-0 win over Minnesota.
Impact
Cuypers played a little bit better than he did in the previous game and even had the chance to get back to the scoring column from the penalty spot during the closing stages of the game. However, the forward was stopped by the opposing goalkeeper and now he's scoreless in consecutive games for the first time since June, which says a lot about the great season he's having, with 16 goals over 29 starts.

Chris Brady - Keeps clean sheet in win
Brady made four saves and kept a clean sheet during Saturday's 3-0 win over Minnesota.
Impact
Brady bounced back from the rough stretch he was going through, with multiple goals allowed in each of the previous five starts. The clean sheet is a rare one, though, as he has just four over 24 starts this season and Chicago defensive struggles make the goalkeeper a very risky fantasy pick.

ROTOWIRE
Andrew Gutman - Logs assist in win
Gutman made an assist, created two chances and sent in four crosses (two accurate) during Saturday's 3-0 win over Minnesota.
Impact
Gutman had a decent performance from the left flank and his most important contribution came in the 70th minute, when he assisted Philip Zinckernagel for the goal that sealed the 3-0 win. That's now eight assists over 30 league starts for the full-back, who's enjoying the best campaign of his career.

Philip Zinckernagel - Scores in win over Minnesota
Zinckernagel scored a goal off three shots (one on target), created two chances, sent in three crosses (one accurate), made three tackles (all won) and drew four fouls during Satur...
Impact
Zinckernagel just can't stop scoring right now and he extended his streak to three games with a classy finish that sealed the 3-0 win in the 70th minute. With 14 goals and 10 assists, the forward can be seen at least as an honorable mention in the MVP conversation in his first MLS campaign.

Dje D'avilla - Scores in win
D'Avilla scored a goal off his lone shot, made four tackles (three won) and three clearances and drew three fouls during Saturday's 3-0 win over Minnesota.
Impact
D'Avilla was very disruptive in the middle of the park, not giving opposing playmakers much room to operate, but his biggest contribution definitely came in the offensive end as he headed home a free-kick cross to double his side's lead in the 41st minute. This was the first MLS goal for the youngster, who needed some time to settle in his debut campaign in the U.S., but now looks like an integral part of the team ahead of the final stretch of regular season.

Joel Waterman - Scores opener in win
Waterman scored a goal off his lone shot, made one tackle, five clearances, one interception and two blocks and helped his side to keep a clean sheet during Saturday's 3-0 win over...
Impact
Waterman had another solid performance at the heart of the defense but this time his biggest contribution came on the attacking end as he was at the right place to slot home a rebound from the goalkeeper to give his side the lead in the 26th minute. This was the first goal for center-back since the midseason deal that took him to Chicago, where he quickly settled as a defensive cornerstone.

Jeff Gal - Earns extension
Gal signed an extension with Chicago through 2026, the club announced.
Impact
Gal penned an extension with Chicago, signing on to stay as the backup. He's firmly behind Chris Brady in the pecking order, but he gets chances while Brady's injured or on international duty. Dean conceded nine goals in seven appearances this season, while making 11 saves in that span.

ROTOWIRE
Jonathan Dean - Extends with Chicago
Dean signed an extension with Chicago for 2026, the club announced.
Impact
Dean was one of three players announced for contract extensions, and is now set to return to the roster in 2026. The defender is having a brilliant 2025, with a career-high three assists, as well as new highs in appearances, starts and minutes. Dean should be a big part of the starting XI during his fourth season at the club.

ROTOWIRE
Chris Mueller - Signs extension
Mueller (chest) signed an extension with Chicago for 2026, the club announced.
Impact
Mueller officially went down for the season in July due to a chest injury, but was brought back for 2026. The midfielder has been productive in Chicago, though he hasn't reached the same heights he did with Orlando. He will be back in 2026 after a full year on the sideline, but a new contract at this point in his recovery clearly means the club thinks he can get back to his best.

Romenique Kouame - On bench against Minnesota
Kouame (lower body) is back as a substitute option in Saturday's game versus Minnesota United.
Impact
Kouame has a chance to return after over a month of inactivity, although he's likely to play a substitute role in upcoming matchups. The midfielder, who has scored twice in 14 league appearances this year, could eventually replace either Andre Franco or Dje D'Avilla from the current starting lineup.

Leonardo Barroso - Substitute option Saturday
Barroso (lower body) is on the bench for Saturday's clash with Minnesota United.
Impact
Barroso has resumed training after spending a couple of weeks on the sidelines and is now eligible as a potential backup for Jonathan Dean. After this game, both right-backs will remain in contention, with Barroso looking to regain momentum in the final stretch of the regular season.

Barroso (lower body) was training with his teammates Tuesday, according to Joe Chatz of On Tap Sports.
Impact
Barroso is working towards a return this week, as the defender was announced to be back in team training. This could line him up for a return after missing their last two games, likely to start at right-back again once fit.
