Nadiem Amiri - Attempts four shots Amiri generated four shots (zero on goal), four crosses (zero accurate) and three corners in Saturday's 1-0 defeat versus RB Leipzig.
Impact Mainz's first three games of the 2025-26 Bundesliga have seen Amiri gradually elevate his number of shots. But unlike the previous two games, he logged zero shots on goal Saturday. Offensively, Amiri lacked quality everywhere (as his four inaccurate crosses can also attest), and he will look to bounce back with Mainz's two remaining games in September.

Robin Zentner - Concedes one goal again Zentner recorded two saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-0 loss to RB Leipzig.
Impact For the 2025-26 Bundesliga, it is three consecutive games in which Zentner has conceded one goal. Each of the three games saw unimpressive compensation, with him logging either one or two saves. Zentner's next chance to impress comes Sept. 20 at Augsburg.
SEPTEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
Xaver Schlager - Suffers injury Schlager generated two crosses (zero accurate) and one tackle in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Mainz. He was injured and subbed out in the 32nd minute.
Impact An undisclosed injury took Schlager out of action after barely over half an hour. He was replaced by Ezechiel Banzuzi, who assisted Leipzig's lone goal. As for Schlager, he will look to quickly recover and re-establish himself, with his earliest chance at a return coming next Saturday against Koln. If he must sit out at least another game, it looks like Leipzig will know who to turn to with Banzuzi.
SEPTEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
Willi Orban - Clearance-heavy day against Mainz Orban generated one tackle (one won), 23 clearances and one interception in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Mainz.
Impact August saw Orban average 5.5 clearances between two games. In just one game against Mainz, the center-back more than quadrupled said tally Saturday. Already, Orban has 34 clearances in the 2025-26 Bundesliga. It took him more than two months to surpass that tally last season.
SEPTEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
David Raum - Four corners, two accurate crosses Raum recorded two shots (zero on goal), five crosses (two accurate) and four corners in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Mainz.
Impact For the 2025-26 Bundesliga, Raum updated his season high in corners, which he has nine of this campaign. He also has seven accurate crosses on 17 attempts. Raum remains an offensive difference-maker from the flank, and it would not be surprising if he logs another assist, which the left-back has one of already this season.

Johan Bakayoko - On scoresheet for Leipzig Bakayoko scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 1-0 win versus Mainz.
Impact Saturday marked Bakayoko's third game for RB Leipzig, meaning it took three games for him to log his first goal with the team. In the three-game span, he attempted four shots but got only one of them on target. Bakayoko will look to establish better consistency in the scoring department in the coming months, and RB Leipzig's recent usage of him suggests he will have the chance to do that. However, it may come with the caveat of somewhat limited starts, considering all his three include less than 70 minutes of action.
SEPTEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
Peter Gulacsi - Logs two-save clean sheet Gulacsi registered two saves and secured a clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Mainz.
Impact Though not as nice as his four-save clean sheet in Leipzig's previous appearance, Gulacsi continued to roll. He has back-to-back clean sheets, with six saves in the two-game span. Up next for Gulacsi and Leipzig comes a home game against Koln on Sept. 20.
