Called up with USA U20 Raines has been called up by USA U20 for the matches against Mexico U20 and Japan U20 on March 22 and March 24, respectively.

Impact Raines has been a bench option this season in Houston's midfield as he featured 9 minutes off bench but he will miss Saturday's match against Seattle due to the call-up. He should return in time to face Portland on March 30. His absence will not force a change in the starting XI.

Option off bench Raines (undisclosed) is on the bench for Saturday's clash with San Jose.

Impact Rained picked up a knock against Colorado last time out but it appears to have been a minor one, as he is now back on the bench. The midfielder likely won't see any major minutes even when fully fit, and should be a depth option for the most barring serious injuries elsewhere in the starting XI.

Leaves field injured Raines was forced off the field in the 81st minute of Saturday's 1-0 win over Colorado due to an injury, per Bayou City Soccer.

Impact Raines looks set to possibly miss some time, as he was taken off late into Saturday's match due to injury complications, although the true severity of the issue or where it is occurring is still unknown. This could be an unfortunate loss for the club if he does miss time, as he has started in three of their four matches this season, holding a decent spot within the team. He was replaced by Latif Blessing, who will most likely continue in Raines' role if he does miss time. However, it is still up in the air if he could be an option for Saturday's match with San Jose, as the club has yet to release a timetable for his inclusion back into the team.

Impact Raines received his first ever MLS start in midfield Saturday while Adalberto Carrasquilla was away on international duty. The 18-year-old Raines should continue mostly as a depth option for now.
